    I'm just going to copy paste my previous response here:

    my Latin friends/family are a mix of communists and religious conservatives so I should get a variety of opinions (one of them praised Cuba and Fidel in a video they sent me supportive of LGBT and non binary people's rights, the other person is an ultra conservative Christian).

      Unfortunately, latinamerican communists (if by communist we mean Marxists) are rather socially conservative. At least in my country. Good to see some exceptions, like you mention tho.

      Still, good to ask away from the internet.

        lots of woke marxists around universities, especially younger generations but anyone under 40 i expect to be marxist and thats a looot of our population
