Like it's too well intentioned to get mad, just realizing people don't realize this stuff. Similar to how libs think they're making fun of toxic masculinity or trumpism/bernie bros when they do this, but it's just classism.

I could not afford either. And the admittedly small amount of interactions I've had with mental health professionals has made me never want to. I mean, I think it could work, it's not the concept of psychiatry that's bad. But the only people I've ever heard it work for are the people that can afford to not only do it, but shop around for ones they like. No insurance? No money? No transportation? Small town with maybe one conservative hick therapist if any? Get fucked, lol.
dozens of professionals over 15+ years and no help. a couple actually made things so much worse that i don't know why i'm still here.
having access or being able to afford "a different one" doesn't make much difference.
Damn, I'm sorry you went through that. I was in a psyche ward for almost two weeks and it was a more traumatic experience than what got me there, honestly.
Thankfully telehealth is pretty common now so you have a lot more options if you live in a small town or have limited mobility. Also, therapy is psychology not psychiatry (psychiatrists prescribe medication mainly).
