Waking up? Inertia. Takes five alarms.

Getting up from bed? Inertia. Takes half an hour.

Making the bed? Inertia. 2 days out of 7.

And on and on it goes.

How do I become one of them “up and at em” types? A real go getter bucko?

gotta be mindful of the lies and slander that your brain tells you about yourself

practicing cleanliness is a decent way of developing conscientiousness, but you gotta start small (like pick up that piece of paper on the ground that shouldn't be there and place it in trash can small) and be consistent about it in order to build physical and psychic momentum. you can actually turn it into a sort of sisyphean exercise routine where you come home, knock over a pack of cards and pick them all up (maybe sort them as well). the key here is to remember to slowly and incrementally graduate to cleaning your room/doing the dishes.

helps to intersperse with other activities that remind your brain it is actually capable of putting will to power beyond hitting buttons and gesturing on a phone. once it gets enough reminders it will automatically change its narrative on certain things and if you can eventually build a routine around it it will be like autopilot.

that piece of paper on the ground isn't hurting anything

      -depression logic

but seriously, i'm not sure self-imposed restrictions that require executive function are the way out of not having executive function. sounds kinda bootstraps
