I would require my crew to dress and talk like pirates for the rescue operation. it already couldnt get more surreal for the distressed ship, why shouldnt it go full scooby doo?

Wish I could live on a giant wooden ship and tour the coast as a historical pirate re-enactor, teaching people about how pirates lived.
That feel when you're given hardtack and grog every day and have a lot of chores.
I mean, people in living museums have homes and eat normal food, I don't see why that wouldn't be allowed on boat.
You can at least live on a tall ship in many places. Pay is shit and work is hard, but they're always looking for people.
And I know a few full time living history types. Some paid to do it but most just do it. You can just wear a tricorn and a robe anglaise all day every day if you want. There's no law they can't stop you and your Panniers will keep them at a safe distance (This post brought to you by Da Share Zone)
There's a dope yearly race too that goes between Scotland, Norway, England, and the Netherlands. I went to the one in Shetland this year with some friends. Every stop is basically a festival with music and stalls and beer and fireworks etc. So the crews sail for 4-7days each leg and then party for 2-3 days and then do it again, and again, and again. It seems pretty cool.
If you were really, really good at it, you could probably find a way to do it for a living. Steep learning curve though

Apparently new cargo ships are being built with sails which help lower emissions. Not exactly clipper shipping, but good nonetheless.
