In Sweden the social democrats have been in power for most of the past century and they used to be more left during the 1900s but I'd guess they're pretty centrist or right now, but a bit centreleft of the norm sadly, of course you'll still have right wingers calling them socialists. The left party, which split off from them long ago critisises them pretty regularly, which is cool, like you say in the US they'd have to stick together and not ""infight""

No, you shouldn't because that gives them legitimacy and future inroads for derailing strikes and whatever other praxis you might do.
Let me give you a historical example:
In the winter of 1917/18 a pretty strong left worker movement formed within Germany that brought it that far that the war industry almost came to a standstill by means of strikes at the end of January 1918. But they made a vital mistake, they let people from the SPD(Soc Dems) onto the committees which organized the strikes. They in the end were the ones who were able to subvert these committees that thoroughly that because of the indecisiveness of other members, like those from the USPD(more left SPD), the strikes were over by the 4th of February, barely a week after they started.
Here is a quote from one Philipp Scheidemann:
"If we wouldn't have entered the committees, ... then the war would've ended by January. ... But through our work the strike was ended and everything was put back into orderly fashion."As we all know the war went on until November of that year.
What you said is probably true for some of the base of these parties, but never for their higher-ups and leadership.
