My managers have an open door policy for addressing workplace issues. So ganging up against them? That just doesn't feel right.

It's pretty much verbatim from a training video at my last job. In effect, the open door policy meant that not only were employees failing to band together and improve their conditions, but they were helping themselves up by going and buddying up to the boss while trashing each other. Just completely toxic.

Hey, those kids wouldn't even have a house or food if they weren't enslaved by Nike. Why do you hate the global poor?

He was unpopular for a reason. He didn't get the Jim Clyburn endorsement, and I think it's telling that black men over 50 from southern states failed to vote for him.

Populism is a nebulous term used by centrists that equates the left and far right, ignoring the content of what is being said and instead focusing on tone rather than anything else. In addition, the original 'populist' movement in the US in the 1920s was good as hell, and one of the rare movements that was class based and crossed racial lines.

Look, I understand that the postal service has a storied history and has done great things for this country, but it's very clear that they're not agile and responsive enough to survive in a digital world. UPS and FedEx are thriving right now during Covid, but the Post Office is begging people to buy stamps. Clearly the innovation potential and flexibility of private companies is what we should be supporting. Imagine how much more effective the already effective UPS could be if they had access to your mailbox, or were able to take over all the post offices in this country and utilize them as compact and efficient distribution centers. Not to mention that the government would probably be able to get a pretty penny from the sale! Imagine the reduction in the deficit!

Hi, as a white guy working in silicon valley its obvious that centralised posting is untenable in the future, it simply can't adapt to the current breakneck pace of innovation. Clearly this will be replaced by multilayer overlapping posting meshes made up of competing actors, ensuring an efficient decentralised low latency delivery mechanism that every one can afford. Of course this mesh will need to be managed though an app, where independent actors can receive instructions, feedback and their compensation in bezo-bux, anyway if you think these opportunities sound interesting contact me for information about how to get in on the ground floor of our VC seed fund, but please only serious offers.

America is the greatest engine of innovation that has ever existed, and it can't be duplicated anytime soon, because it is the product of a multitude of factors: extreme freedom of thought, an emphasis on independent thinking, a steady immigration of new minds, a risk-taking culture with no stigma attached to trying and failing, a noncorrupt bureaucracy, and financial markets and a venture capital system that are unrivaled at taking new ideas and turning them into global products.

Honestly folx, I think Joe Biden might be better than Obama. I was sitting with my pupperino looking at /r/memes and saw a totally relatable one about riding with Biden. I thought to myself, if we can rename Obamacare to Bidencare, then all the protesting thugs won't be mad anymore.

Out of character: I almost vomited writing this.

I don’t understand why people can’t pay rent, the $600 unemployment should have been saved up and landlords need to pay their mortgages. People are always looking for handouts! Pay your rent and don’t get evicted, simple as that!
