I do not get the logic behind this procedure at all. Is it projection? Do they think the rest of the world pictures them the same way their populace pictures places like the DPRK and thinks one of their leaders becoming incapacitated will result in everyone else running around like headless chickens? Why would anyone risk recreating Fallout solely because a sitting president got sick? This is actually kind of infuriating.

I know I am preaching to the choir here, but can you imagine the headlines worldwide had The Real Korea done such a thing after Kim, say, had a medical complication?

It's so ridiculous. Even at the height of the coldwar the Soviets weren't just going to glass the US because the president got sick.

Just remember, can't afford healthcare but these planes will be airborne for two weeks straight no doubt.

Remember that China and India have a no first use nuclear policy. And Russia and the DPRK will only use theirs if attacked.

There is no reason to expect any of these powers to preemptively strike the US

My understanding of the cold war was that the US was far, far more psychotic than the USSR ever was, and they were terrified of us because we were insane fanatics whose actions were hard to predict.

They see the world as deeply, deeply hostile to US interests and it’s only through constant projection of power that we survive.

They realise capitalism goes against human nature.

The deep state/Blob/MIC lunatics almost certainly literally believe that all of America's enemies are chomping at the bit to start a global thermonuclear war at the first opportunity

The logic is that if people actually believe that only the president is able to authorize a nuclear strike, they could strike when he's not able to do so. Like how it works in movies. Maybe the Hollywood elite have more power than we thought.
