Remember, EM POC only!

One year of Palestinian resistance... hamas-red-triangle hamas-red-triangle hamas-red-triangle hamas-red-triangle

I want liberation for all of the marginalized who still remain chained up by their oppressors.

That aside, of course, I'm hoping for some happy EM POC vibes this week!

I'm trying this new approach to my issues called the "thug that shit out" approach. Let's see how it goes!

Today’s been a good day. I say this with the wholehearted knowledge that my life will be very different and yet all too familiar at the same time.

Finally had a proper conversation with my parents since I was alive.

No more hiding. No more “negative peace”.

I told them how I felt. How they treated me throughout my childhood and teenager years. The religious trauma. The corporal punishments.

My dad’s a tougher nut to crack but I think in the end he understood and respected my feelings. It feels like a whole chapter of my life just closed in an instant. Just from one talk.

I know that may be the optimist in me speaking but I think I can finally slowly move away from the past and look forward to the future.

I can finally be at peace knowing that my relationship with the family is finally moving to something I can be happy with.

13 year old me would have not imagined this day whatsoever.

My friend joked that this isn’t how “normal” Asian parents would have reacted. Well I wouldn’t know, my experience is that everyone’s parents are different. We won’t know until we try.

I guess I did live up to my childhood name after all - “the destroyer”. To ashes the trauma burns, and in the soot a new tree sprouts.

Funny that this had to take place on October 7. I guess I can say many good things have happened on this date.

On average, Americans commit three felonies per day (mostly unknowingly). If cops want to arrest you, they will find something to arrest you over. Whites think they're perfect, law-abiding citizens, but they're not. The law is selectively un-enforced towards them.

Hell, they illegally use drugs more often than non-whites. But non-whites are arrested and convicted more often by several orders of magnitude for drug offenses.

I think it's really sad there are still BIPOC in America and "The WEST™©®" as a whole that don't see what's happening in Palestine as nothing but a more modern and extreme version of what happened to us. To me it just shows are a real lack of historical understanding. It just bums me out that there still BIPOC who buy into idea they will get into :"The club" if they just parrot what white liberals tell them.

So a couple unknown hexbears pissed them off going in on the settler project, so they ban these unknown bears and then make a super passive-aggressive 'ADMINISTRATION NOTE' post where they do the basic lemm.ee polemic against hexbear posters, positioning themselves as poor put-upon crackers by the anti-genocide poster horde while they do so. I pull up, and at the comment in this post that the mod of that shithole comm "supports Jewish people and Pales-people both" (don't laugh!), I'm out here like "yeah fuck y'all twice for both-sidesing a settler-colonial genocide btw, death to your society", they try and go in on me for being a 'genocide enthusiast' because it's 'against the right people' which I mean. If it's wrong to pray for the downfall of the West, both Amerikan and European alike, then I don't wanna be right-- but then they lock the post in order to have that last word.

Two days later, the post unlocks; and I come back to it like "what makes you think I will ever care about the life of a settler y'all are my opps" and that's about where all my posts got removed, I got banned, and they kept talking shit like the poor put-upon crackers they are. Last I knew, another brave poster went in there to spit on their western collaborator philosophies and caught themselves a ban for it too; so basically you're not welcome in their comm if you're not full-throated down for israeli war crimes

hi, i was with friends (not mine, friends of a friend) playing dnd and it was uncomfortable with the n*zi references.

i get it's typical freeze-gamer stuff, but knowing the people are largely of german heritage and transphobic/misogynistic then having their in-game team called the 'SS' is whack.

it really was not funny and i had no clue how to even express my distaste. i stopped playing with them, they kept making n*zi references it was disturbing.

i'd wanna express my thoughts some of the time but yeah i sorta felt ashamed for some reason :/

I've been into tabletop wargames for over 20 years, including literal WWII games with people playing actual nazis, and even they understood nazis were evil and not something you want to imitate.

When you larp as nazis, especially in a game not centered around WWII, suggests serious Anglo brainworms.

You finally get to connect with your heritage!

      A little note

yay!! tbh i feel like i squandered all the opportunities i was given when i was a teenager to connect with my heritage more, and now its a lot harder to do it. like i had the opportunity to learn gujarati but i mostly messed around in class and now i regret it

        also

i think hinduism is less of a monolith which makes it harder to be vocal about it, i suppose. and when they are vocal, it's in india and very related to islamophobia. at least in the uk where i live, hindus are either indifferent about preaching about their religion, but when they are super religious, they channel that preachy energy towards islamophobia

Apparently it's too much for some Hexbear crackers to allow people to be angry at libs for supporting the genocide of brown people. We need to show libs patience and to touch grass and ground ourselves while a genocide on our comrades and friends and families happens. They cannot do wrong, they can only be wronged. The Zionist project has nothing to do with Nazism. This is all just a big misunderstanding.

Some fucking people here, for real.

Also, and as a general statement, I have never called for anyone to be executed. I've only ever called for people to get time-out in a pit and self-crit together.

I missed it and went to your comments to see what was being talked about. I think I saw what comments you were talking about. Holy shit the pearl clutching lmao

When you talk about doing something with "No apologies for the terror," if you don't preface your statement, they all of a sudden have reasons for not having any terror. And like the typical lib, it falls on us to patiently educate whitey instead of whitey changing their view. Or at the very least, not doing genocide.

It's not my responsibility to debate and convert libs. It's their responsibility to change their positions before they get got.

            100%.

It was honestly infuriating. And they were so focused on the actual act of casting a vote, which I said I personally don't give a shit about and wasn't the point. The initial comment was about USian libs' selfishness, even in the face of a literal genocide, being unforgivable. Libs can't be assed to care and, moreover, so many libs support it. There are so many fucking libs who are full, frothing members of Zionist-SS Division and think Palestinians are all terrorists beheading and SA'ing Zionist babies who deserve cleansing. Sure, there are some libs who are simply resigned to the genocide, and frankly fuck them too, but there are many who want it.

But as always we're supposed to be patient with lib bloodlust right now during a genocide because in the past at some point in time some of us were also confused, ignorant libs? What a dumbass take. I wonder how many Palestinians being genocided would agree with this nuanced analysis of patience towards those who demand their brutal death and the death of their families and children.

Purely self-serving defensiveness. Projecting and accusing others of electoral lib brainworms and then immediately admits to having had said electoral lib brainworms barely a year ago. My God. That was borderline Nazi apologia, in my humble opinion.

            Rant over.

And a year is practically nothing. Person was really telling on themselves when they were all "Not everyone is born a commie."

There's liberal naivety and then there's "making up stories about beheading children so you have a reason to carry out ethnic cleansing of your neighbors." People might go through the former. You don't go through a nazi phase and then earn my trust just because you changed to what millions of people already knew.

It's like that argument "Well, back in those days slavery was acceptable, so you can't judge people," which completely ignores the fact slaves knew it was wrong. There were non-slaves who knew it was wrong and argued for its abolition. The same thing has been true for stuff like homophobia, sexism, carnism, etc.

They completely told on themselves. I don't even believe them anymore when they say they were a 'Communist for a long time'. They are still a lib in their heart. Recovering, at best.

There's liberal naivety and then there's "making up stories about beheading children so you have a reason to carry out ethnic cleansing of your neighbors." People might go through the former. You don't go through a nazi phase and then earn my trust just because you changed to what millions of people already knew.

I absolutely agree with you, exactly. I feel like they were conflating past liberal naivety like voting for Obama to get good healthcare with currently being in favour of a Nazistic genocide. Zionism is an extension of the Nazi project. I'm not going to forgive and forget with people who demanded the Holocaust and joined in on killing Jews in Europe and turning in their neighbors just because the Soviets destroyed the Nazis and now everyone has to feign innocence like they never did what they did. Anyone arguing otherwise is defending and apologizing for Nazis guilty of the Holocaust. But, suddenly now, in the present day, the situation is complex because there are a lot of supporters of the contemporary Nazi project and some people who used to support them recently changed their minds after they saw the Zio-Nazis do what they have said they would do for almost a century. No, I'm not willing to compromise and forgive Nazis just because there are a lot of them and some of them were deceived or propagandized into supporting their crimes. Stalin's biggest mistake was stopping at Berlin and we should never forget that. The entire world still needs to be de-Nazified. No forgiveness. Don't like that because it hits close to home? too-bad

Exactly. It's like they don't even realize how they are just repeating the same argument that was used throughout history by people to apologize for themselves committing these crimes. None of this shit is forgivable and there were always people who knew, especially the victims, that it was fucking wrong. I'm not going to forgive some fucking supporter of slavery because 'they were a product of their time' or some such bullshit platitude. Get right the fuck out with that shit. I am now quite certain that the crimes of this guilty land will never be purged away, but with blood. JB-shining-aggro

I got a sneaking suspicion one of them is that dude who malds at people using the word "cracker." Whatever. Hexbear always had a mayo problem. And I don't see that changing anytime soon because there's way too many white people here.

You know, for a USian leftist social media website whose target demographic are zoomers and millennials, the fact that white people are a supermajority instead of a slight minority is disgraceful. White people don't even form the majority of USian zoomers. And once you screen out the (mostly white) Christofascists and (mostly white) white nationalists, the percentage of US zoomers who are white drops even further. But over here on Hexbear dot net, the percentage of white posters is probably on par with UK zoomers who are white. Cool if this is a British site, but not so cool since it's an USian site.
