while at the same time being lenient and saying we can be reformed? kind of fucking based, even if it goes easy on the troops

compared to this, any wokeness in mainstream US movies is totally fake; they never actually acknowledge our racism openly

Racism in American movies is always like “it’s just a small handful of people being cartoonishly evil with their racism. by the way here’s a white protagonist who’s gonna stop the racists!”

    Thanks for this.

I've been thinking a lot about American media lately, and as a leftist and a non-American it honestly makes me sick and I can't bear to watch many blockbuster Hollywood films, or video games and other media.

For an example: Black Ops: Cold War. I've been trying to avoid trailers and gameplay and whatnot but even just the few promo images I've seen are gun-toting Americans in a jungle somewhere, and I just think, "OK, so who are they fighting here? Who are these Americans gonna kill?" and imaging what kind of atrocities the game glorifies or apologizes for just makes me so depressed. Like what- do you kill "hordes" of Vietnamese or Latin Americans? Why, in American media, are foreigners treated as less than human? I mean I know the answer, but even "good" lib Americans seem totally blind to this disgusting portrayal.

Still love to my American comrades here of course, you are the real good ones :heart-sickle:

I think the messaging in this one is the best of any of them

when Ip Man points out the racism of other cultures, it's super refreshing how overt it is
