this is aboslutely a brag but i never went on /r/politics because there is literally nothing there of value and never has been. just a mess of lib npcs, anime fascists, and unreformed paulbots.

Same. I got the need to have online political arguments out of my system on Facebook in like high school. Shit's mad pointless except maybe for honing your own rhetorical style.

I go on in to dunk on libs when they're at their lowest, like today. Otherwise it's basically just vidya/hobbyist groups

Nah, they're angry at Feinstein for being friendly with Republicans right now. Too bad they won't recognize that Obama/Pelosi endorsed her 2018 election over CA Dems choice. Almost like those two were trying to keep conservatives in power. Huh...go figure.

Oh I've had like three liberals (honestly probably the same loser in Langley but w/e) explain to me why Morales is a dictator

(hint: It's because he won 4 democratic elections in a row, something filthy American politicians couldn't do even without term limits)

Liberals are actually cant believe that people actually believe in ideas (of any kind). To them, if you care too much about something then thats probably because you're brainwashed

I think it's more that liberals find it impossible to believe that people in power can actually do anything, therefore the biggest crime that a president could do is make us look stupid because of who we chose

As a mostly Reddit lurker, I miss the epic dunks committed by radicalized chapos in plain sight, and the subsequent bellyaching by libs in the aftermath. But I never thought Reddit was much of value before I started watching the chapo space so it's pretty much just business as usual.

There was a post on r/FantasyPL, fucking fantasy PL that called Hitler left wing.

No joke - my general mood is so much better now without checking reddit. If I do check it and see some stupid shit, I can always come back here and 99% of the time there's a thread dunking on it.

I barely even visit anymore. I miss a few things, and pay the ask-whatever subs and the sneerclub a visit. But for a long while I used reddit as a coping mechanism, so I do feel like I no longer need it. And this place is more about actually finding like-minded people and community. Something that wasnt a priority before.

r/socialistra & r/shitliberalssay are both still pretty good, though SRA is very doom and gloom and fucks with my brain.

It's also really easy to be banned from there, creating an insular echo chamber that everyone loves about reddit

The New Order: A really narrative heavy mod that some describes as visual novel with military minigame. The aesthetic might makes your dog barks like crazy, but it's better than it looks. Hint: play Buryatia.

Equestria at War: Yes, the pony mod. Being wholly fictional, the devs have a room to write the nations into following a story which is pretty cool, and it's the only HOI4 mod so far with a custom script-based nation specific tech tree. Ideologically there's a lot of cool commie nations with various flavors.

Old World Blues: Fallout but mapgame. A lot of cool custom features, but design wise the majority of nations are written to just paints the map around them with not much lore besides what's already given to them at start. Oh, you can play as robot Zapata, who's personality is intentionally inaccurate since in-universe he's based on American propaganda, but it's still pretty neat.
