Just wildly firing with no idea who could be around at someone who is no longer armed and is retreating.
I like how the text narrates every single thing that happened, but then does a goof and forgets to tell us the part where the pig unloads his magazine wildly in the middle of a crowded neighborhood.
Yeah Ive been in this area a bunch you'd have to be absolutely nuts to shoot a gun like that there.
The car’s on fire, and there’s a pig driver at the wheel. And the sewers are all muddied with a thousand cop homicides. And a dark wind blows.
Oh man if only we had institutions to deal with the mentally ill with compassion and not fucking bullets. Oh well #BacktheBlue
Saw the warning that “This video contains footage some viewers may find upsetting” and was confident that was wrong based on the headline, but then the poor flaming stick guy got shot at :(
Guy had a rag on the end of a stick and that warrants killing him? Come the fuck on. Dude isn't intimidating at all it's literally a rag on a stick that you can put out by patting with your hands a bunch of times.
come on lets be real now, if someone threw a burning stick into your fucking car and you had a gun on you, you would fire back too. like he actually could have fucking died there lmao
Nah mate I'd be like "wtf get this burning stick out of my car mate what are you playin at?" then sometime after that I might consider drawing the gun and going after the wee cunt but I'd be checking whether the rag had been pissed on as well first because it being a flaming-piss-rag just makes sense. If I smelled piss I'd just wanna go fucking home and wash I think.
Oh 100% I would have opened fire, fuck man that's attempted murder. But it's a cop so who cares lol.
yeah i dont really care about the cop but like nobody acts reasonable when someone throws a burning 2x4 at your fucking face lmao
Yeah, big difference is that most people aren't cops. Anyone who has that level of authority better be able to calmly deal with that situation without unloading a mag into a residential neighborhood
I'd probably prioritize getting out of the car.
I might be pissed off enough to want to shoot at them. I'm not a cop.
The cop just let the car burn? That's just negligence with public property. Pull the stick out, it's like 6 feet long, you're not gonna burn your baby hands. It's like he wanted it to suffer greater damage.
Also - fake thumbnail shows a man on fire, taken from somewhere else. No person was set on fire here.
They set the footage to the song "Tick of the Clock" by the Chromatics which was featured on the Drive soundtrack. Welcome to your manufactured (but highly cinematic!) consent.
It's a terrible handling of the situation by the cop. Like he almost drives right up to the dude and opens his door and apparently can't close it in time before the dude just sticks it through the open window? He yells "Seattle Police stop dude". Like, that's not a command, you're supposed to say something like "drop the flaming stick". He clearly was not actually prepared to deal with this guy.
Then he just immediately starts shooting at the guy as he's running away. So he already had his gun out but he wasn't prepared to just back up or seal the vehicle to stop a clearly mentally unstable guy from attacking? Then he goes into "tactical crazy freakout from something I basically caused" mode. And apparently when they shoot at someone they just say "shots fired" which anybody would read as him being shot at.
He even shoots at the guy running away before getting out of the slightly burning car lmao
