Not so much as to become a rich ghoul, but enough to live well. Assume no student loans, no car loans, and you rent. How would you live your life?

    $80,000/yr in investment income 🤮🤮

But seriously, that income and no debt would mean I could spend all my time on hobbies and mutual aid which would be nice

Sleep 8 hrs every night, work out, organize the Proletariat and still spend like 5hrs a day smoking weed and looking at memes.

Probably keep working in agriculture, but being freed from the market I could concentrate on permaculture. Plus the world needs more commie farmers. You bring the hammer, I'll bring the sickle.

Don't know what I'd be doing, but I'd imagine I would suddenly start having decent night's sleep on the regular.

Get the surgeries I need. Being trans is expensive, and American health insurance doesn't give a shit about trans people, especially trans women.

Why does this have to be a problem only money can fix.

I'd buy a house, a modest house, and work on it as a hobby. I'd volunteer more. Have a family. Sleep in late every fucking day. This is what I consider true freedom.

It's the most control you can have over your housing, a basic need. Yeah it comes with obligations, it's still more free than renting.

Yeah, but taxes and maintenance on 80k isn't a massive issue.

Also you're maintaining your housing. That's less a burden and more a basic fact of life.

That kinda yearly income makes for an easy down payment and low risk for mortgage lenders.

They might be comfortable with a mortgage, I said I would save up.

Save up for a cabin in the mountains where I could live with my two black hounds / save up for a house in some old Italian town where I could wear three piece suits and take bike trips into the Tuscan countryside

Wow. Took Raleigh from the middle of a list of north american cities by cost of living.

If I had 150k in Seattle I could just stop working and be happy.
