Yeah, I'm convince this is the neoliberal boomers attempt to reach out to the "disaffected youth" in the party. They know they cant offer an alternative, so they're trying a softer version of 2016's voter shaming tactic. It was sorta fun at first (like is this real?) but now it's pretty obvious that theres real campaign money behind this effort and some consultant got paid.

It doesn't feel real to me but at this point I've given up trying to meaningfully decipher anything and have instead elected to let myself be surprised if something turns out to be fake rather than assuming it's not real from the get go

If they wanted my vote, they would have nominated Bernie. That’s it. There’s no conversation, no reason to engage. The party and I are effectively divorced. It’s that simple.

it is such a weird thing like the about us on the official page is literally the bleakest shit i have ever read it looks like they found some people who were broken by the primary to make these

Settle for Biden is a progressive grassroots organization comprised primarily of former Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren supporters. We firmly believe that Donald Trump is an existential threat to the future of our people, our nation, and our planet. We don't like all of Joe Biden's policies but we recognize that he is running on the most progressive platform in American history and that not supporting him would literally endanger the lives and livelihoods of millions of Americans. Former Vice President Biden will be prepared on his first day in office to restore America’s place in the global sphere. He will be prepared to bring about the unity we need in the wake of recent civil unrest spurred by the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and the countless other unarmed Black Americans killed by police in this country. Joe Biden will restore the United States’ place in the world. He will be a president for every American, not just those who voted for him. Joe Biden will be a president who won't keep us up at night. And right now, that's the least the American people can possibly ask for.

The worst part is these people are so close to getting the point that electoralism is a fuck and you'll never have a genuinely good candidate to vote for.

        wth lol

I feel like it's genuine Biden supporters who heard online zoomers/millenials are into "irony" and are trying to appeal to us through that, but don't understand that us extremely online folks are on several layers of irony at this point

I tend to assume in most cases like this that they simply didn't think about it. If Biden is mask on, and Trump is therefore mask off, then either they're being remarkably honest with themselves, or they were thinking about something completely different. My guess is like a WW1 inspirational propaganda poster, Biden's fist raised as if leading a charge, but with shitty 2020 social-media-friendly design aesthetics.

I only give a shit about endorsements when it's from people I respect, and I don't respect anyone who endorses Biden.
