I want Texas to go blue just for the tears, same reason I kind of want Biden to win

Texas going solid blue would have the positive effect of probably getting the electoral college ended.

conservative tears are great, but the lib tears of pointing out the shitty shit Biden does for 4 years will be even better, cause i dont know any conservatives.

And then you compare what they said under Trump vs. under Biden and see how much they backpedal

If they really do take Texas that's gonna have some wild ramifications (in the world of bourgeois political parties)

Trump clowns would absolutely lose it if he loses Texas lmao. Florida will be an interesting one too.

I nearly voted Biden just because of this. The absolute worst people love Texas for the wrong reasons.

Oh please for the love of god go blue. Whenever I browse conservative sites the comments inevitably blame californians for turning red states blue. It will keep chuds up at night and I want to see these losers cry.

Texas will go Dem when the last Gen X and Boomer fans of "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" have finally passed on

affluent Texas suburbs are perhaps THE beating heart of the Republican Party. I swear that the GOP and its media allies use this draw play of flipping Texas just to get the DNC to misallocate campaign resources there.

The 2018 midterms showed some promise, but unfortunately there are still areas in Texas where Republicans hold unique urban/suburban majorities found nowhere else in the country

This definition is good and I think it leaves Chicago and SF as the only two cities in the US.

EDIT: two things, don't dox yourself in the replies and really think if you can actually get around the city without needing a car.

Nyc is pretty good also. I can't really think of another one to be honest. Probably cuz they all sprang up after good year and standard oil killed city rail infrastructure

It's decent for an American city, but it's par for the course in most European ones. I don't think that Americans realize just how bad their public transit is.

I don't remember it being great, but it was as a tourist and 2 decades ago. OK, five cities, the US has 5 cities that don't require a car to get around.

Beto was basically the closest any dem got in like 25 years. If only he didn't listed to the pod save people and stayed in Texas. As for Texas flipping, I'll believe it when I see it.

They won't be able to gerrymander it as they won't control the governorship or the state senate. I'm guessing it would probably end up with a court-drawn map.

Wheelchair Hitler, the chud lt. Governor, and the other asshat AG will likely be more belligerent in pushing for voter suppression in the coming years if Texas goes blue.

I mentioned this in the megathread, but I kinda worry about Texas and Arizona deciding the election for Biden. That happens and you're gonna see some real mask-off racism from Trump and Republicans ("all those ILLEGALS voting!")

I'm trying to figure out who's going to be more insufferable should their side win.

It'd be hella funny if they do flip texas blue, but then loose the election overall again
