          Probably not. Maybe I’m biased. But her track record speaks for itself. Incarcerated a lot of people. NRI’s (Non resident Indians, her mother) hate Indian muslims and are hardcore fanatics. It may have influenced her somewhat how she views Indian Muslims.

          At least for me there are straws to make straw man out of.

          Fine. She is a wonderful person who has never wronged anyone. She is the hashtag VEEP of colour. Inspiration for a generation the next RBG. A once in a lifetime “one of those good prosecutor.” You clearly don’t agree that NRI’s are toxic. You wouldn’t even believe me that they are the most ardent supporter of the current fascist rule in India. True, that not all half Indians are fascists but they are probably also not a bully, who take pleasure in incarcerating a lot, a lot, of people.

                I have no doubt that she will, it's just wrong to put her in the same category as people like my father. they don't believe the same things and act for very different reasons. like you'd be totally right to call her a liberal fascist (what a strange world we live in where that's a coherent phrase) in the american context but her position on india is deeply ambivalent to modi and the hindutva bullshit there. she'd be as happy with a liberal government there as a fascist one because she's an american imperialist that only gives a shit about american power.

                tulsi gabbard is different and has built actual ties to modi and the bjp. she's their main vector of power within the democratic party and the US.
