I'm also against defederation, but I certainly won't miss their spam. I'm just hoping for the ability for individuals to just block everything from an instance at a personal level.
The Memmy app lets me block the instance itself but not the users. So I don’t see any of the spam from their communities in my feed but their comments still show up. Super easy to just ignore though. 🤷
