I want to be empathetic towards what is obviously a traumatic experience for you, but it's a little extreme to relate a novelty account to that kind of trauma, and then react with the same kind of force/energy or even to conflate the two. I think the rest of us are seeing this as a "mountains out of molehills" kind of situation, and your responses just kept feeding into that.
