It's easy to try something unique and end up looking like a Karen in the realm of short haircuts, which is why I think it's very important to go into a short cut with a coherent vision. Honestly a roughly chin-length bob is a cute look on basically everyone and a kind of low-risk place to start. I'd recommend trying that first and then going shorter from there if the desire strikes! Agreeeee on needing a fashion community.
It kinda sucks that a genuinely funny observation of boomers being rude to retail workers has kinda evolved into "haha ugly old mouthy woman haircut"

Are you looking for a more traditional feminine look while still saying short? If so short bangs or wavy bob might work pretty well.
I'm not quite sure what I want, that's why I'm just wanting a bunch of suggestions thrown at me so I can see what sticks. Something punky and fun, feminine is fine but something more on the androgynous side was what I was thinking.
Ahh ok makes sense. My gf actually uses Pinterest for this. She finds a hairstyle she likes, saves it, then lets the recommended lead her to similar things. It may be fun to just look through the sheer shit ton of different short bob styles there are since there’s some really different ones out there.

oh yeah it's definitely worth a rewatch. it's reaally annoying how there's no way to watch it with the original soundtrack though; all the versions now don't have the unlicensed pop soundtrack, although the first two seasons of original airings do exist last I checked. oh god i'm such a nerd about this and I can't stop.

it's literally not.... like, it seems like nobody was taping daria when it came on, or at least nobody who did is cool enough to upload it/knows that it has to be user-created and torrented. so like, there was a project at one point to take the existing original broadcast eps and redub higher quality versions of the songs themselves the same way over the dvd video and audio and basically make a high quality version of the original, but they stopped after season 2 and as far as I can tell there's no trail on TV rips for anything beyond seasons 1 and 2 anyways. I first started keeping an eye out for it like.... idk like 10 years ago when I realized that I really couldn't even watch a shitty home taped VHS version of the original broadcast. There are some old daria fansites that do have some info about the songs but i think at least one of them went down and is only available from wayback machine. but yeah I'm real mad that nobody was really quite aware of how big a deal the songs were during the airing of the last three seasons. I encourage you to do your own research, don't trust the mainstream DVDrip media, the truth is out there, I want to believe. please president xi, return good pop music daria back to the people of america.

Nobody really realized that they weren't securing the rights for future releases until it was too late and there wasn't much people could do by then because MTV also stopped airing it really fast (I think it might've been something to do with them not doing music videos anymore too, not sure about that, but they also started doing all their stupid reality tv stuff around then too)
