I think this is very possible.

He will enter office with the highest unemployment and worst economy numbers since the great depression. Topple on the eviction crisis that begins January 1st and the pandemic that is still raging on, vaccine or not.

Worth remembering that Dems only won the presidency. All summer we heard about a "blue landslide" and how it was going to be a complete Dem blowout retaking Congress. They squandered the Senate and even lost seats in the House. All they won was the presidency, setting up a picture very similar to Obama's second term. The Dems really are not in good shape as liberals are arrogantly and smugly bragging. They just won the presidency by pushing the most right wing conservative candidate they had in the primary, and Biden only really won due to the pandemic. Take the pandemic out the picture, I have no doubt Trump would've won again.

They won't win Georgia. They'll fuck that up and are already on a quest to do it by blaming all their failures on 'Defund the police' and progressives in general.

Biden is a bit of a game changer to the Dem elite. He completely lacks the charisma and personality of Obama who was very good at selling people on BS and charming as hell. He's also good at shooting himself in the foot by running his mouth. Take the tweets over how "government isn't supposed to help you, people don't want a handout" or the recent leaked audio of him talking down to black activists. This man just can't help himself cause he has no filter whatsoever. We'll likely end up in multiple scandals of him saying more WTF racist stuff about black people and Latinos. I won't be shocked if he drops the N word and it forces him to step down and then Kamala finally gets to complete her power dream.

Biden has publicly said he don't want to govern through using executive orders like Obama and Trump. He wants to work with Republicans who are investigating him over Hunter and will be gunning for something to impeach him. The Republicans know they'll be able to bully this senile old ghoul to get what they want. I don't expect us to have any entitlements left by 2024 since he'll come for social security and medicaid in the name of bipartisanship.

Despite all the unemployment, homeless and further inequality through the class war, Biden and his cabinet have made it clear that they are going to push mass austerity. It will get ugly and probably come with him running his mouth bragging about it. He's already made some WTF comments after the checks were taken out of the stimulus package and now the COVID-19 relief bill just looks like another massive bail out for corporate interests.

We know very well that nothing is going to change in terms of immigration policy with ICE or the brutal use of the state to repress protesters. The mainstream media will just stop reporting on it and will normalize all of it cause when a Democrat president does those things, it's all OK.

I think it's possible through Biden being unable to fix anything, that the Dems could very well alienate many of the people that voted for them. They've already managed to alienate a lot of people with how they attack progressive policy. They have a new politically correct term for talking down to the poor, in "non college educated" as the party is shifting to be more about rich white people in the suburbs. Give it a few years of them talking down to the poor and protesters some more; blaming them for wanting to defund the police and begging for M4A, and this could blow up in their faces.

The only thing the Democratic party has to offer anymore is empty platitudes and identity politics. And this is where Biden is a game changer cause he don't even pay lip service to either of them. I'm sure the media will try to make Kamala "cool" by being a black cop girl boss, but Biden will not play this game at all. He will drop WTF racist comments about black people and Latinos, and when it comes to empty platitudes, he's made it pretty clear talking like a conservative that people don't need help or handouts.

2022 is going to be a nightmare for them. The GOP is already set up to retake the House and I doubt they lose the Senate. Dems will find a way to blame everything on progressives, as they always do. There's also the coming far right reactionary movement that will arise as a result of Biden's failures. We already have QAnon people in Congress from the last election cycle. The Tea Party arose from Obama's failures. This time around, we're likely to get something extreme from the right wing, all while the Democratic party leadership keeps trying to meet in the middle and play centrist games with the GOP.

If progressives manage to double their numbers in midterms, they could potentially split from the Dems and leave that rotten, corrupt party to die. That's what I really hope happens. Let them self destruct around Biden and bring in their moderate Republican centrists they love so much. If progressives can split and make a real third party, the Dems would become obsolete.

We are at least a decade away from that. I would prefer a revolution, but it isn't going to come any time soon.

There will be more next year, especially once Covid starts getting a bit more under control after the vaccine. If they show more organization, that's a good sign. From personal experience, the disorganized protests made a lot of people seek orgs to help guide them. The next ones will be even more organized.

giving a shit about a bourgeois party

He's saying Biden could destroy the Democratic Party, and that this would be a good thing. That's not giving a shit about the party, that's being (justifiably) pessimistic about the imminence of genuine revolution, and looking at what's possible right now or in the near future -- which means electoral politics.
