I've heard that he's been doxxed and people are trying to get him expelled from the DSA?

As far as I can tell, it's for trying to dunk on someone with this tweet.

Is he in the wrong in some way I can't see, a victim of overreaction, or do I just not have the full picture?

I lied, this is not too online for me. Seems like the criticism of his tweet fall into one of three rough groups:

      1. Regardless of the validity of any criticism, this tweet (and a tiktok video?) resulted in harassment of OP.
      2. The OP is a PoC and PoC calls for segregation aren't racist, and criticizing that segregation is racist.
      3. Segregation is racist, but she was sarcastically responding to harassment and wasn't serious.

2 and 3 are obviously incompatible. I've examined some of the context and I don't think she was being sarcastic, but who knows. However, who thinks woke segregation is compatible with leftism? Yeesh. 1 is possibly valid criticism. OP is a small-time tweeter with like 3k followers, so I think it's pretty clear that he should have censored the username and PFP.

Also everyone is both being racist and accusing everyone else of being the real racist. A complete and absolute shitshow.

In conclusion, I sentence them both to 1 "do better" cat gif and I sentence the crowd harassing them both to hunt down the people doing death-threats and doxx THEM, not these two.

I usually don't care about people getting canceled on Twitter, but it puts a damper on joining the DSA if dunking on someone can get you doxxed by your own side.

It is also encouraging however that the DSA is on the correct side of this issue rather than on the performative radlib/social-fascist side of things. You just love to see the reactionary critique basically amounting to “delete this” or “you can’t say that you aren’t black” Literally just an appeal to censorship or to essentialist nonsense about who can say what based on their skin color. no substantive critique at all
