LMFAO they've turned esports into a shitty office job.

Come to the office to "train league of legends" for 8 hours then go home.

An office with absolutely no decorations on its pure white walls other than big-ass logos of their sponsors.

Pretty much already was like that in Korea (and to a slightly lesser extent, China). Sleeping for 4-6 hours and playing League for almost every hour you're awake is the norm for the top contenders, shit's fucked.

The lol thing makes sense because they're like a professional team and shit. Honestly this is on the lower end for LoL orgs because they have to share the building with like 50 other annoying people and "content creators" instead of being somewhere quiet where they can focus on playing solo queue for 15 hours a day

You should be able to compete in any environment but if you're training it helps to have an environment you're comfortable in.

I don't get how Fortnite is even a competitively viable game, aren't the weapon spawns completely random and pretty much determine who wins anyways?

Plenty of competitive games are random. Think about Poker, one of the most random games I've ever heard of. It's very commonly played competitively. And much like poker, while a beginner could potentially beat an expert, over multiple games the expert is going to win.

Spellbreak BR was fantastic in theory, but it launched exclusively on epic and that killed it. Every game had like 5-10 players total so they filled the rest up with bots, and it just isn't fun wandering around a big empty BR map and smashing defenseless bots.

you can't launch a game which lives or dies on player count and then limit it to one niche store which a significant chunk of people rightfully hate

No you don't get it. The LoL room has to be sponsored by a real estate agency and the Fortnite room has to be sponsored by a pizza roll company!

Seriously it's not that complicated people.

Dunkey still does stuff like casually reference Jontron as if he didn't come out as a white supremacist 4 years ago so I'm a little frustrated with that. But he's a gaming youtuber so you take what you can get.

Also he refers to capitalism as "real life" here so he's still very much a liberal. Not that it matters anyways lol I just know too much about him : https://youtu.be/9pSsg2Dn2Jc?t=277

nah youre right, dunkey still has a lot of problems. Its just his recent "I'm done making good videos" criticism of the youtube landscape, his previous criticisms of the gaming industry, and also having horrible experiences with like Machinima and Microsoft, I wish he would move left. Its frusturating when people are so close. Honestly though it wouldn't surprise me if dunkey was actually pretty conservative. Maybe constantly getting into big drama with hasan will make him a succdem.

yeah, i wish he would distance himself from Jontron. On the bright side, I do appreciate how he consciously moved away from using insensitive language and jokes, and for dunking on reactionary gam*rs. I think he's slowly moving in the right direction.

When dunky starts watching Jim stirling, that’s when dunky will get gud. But really, it’s because he hasn’t taken a chance to think “what if no more capitalism “?

It baffles me there so openly talking about money and monetization. They don't even try to pretend their involvement is anything more than for money. Fucking Bleak.

I also watched most of the full video.

That was just bizzare, it was like they were both trying to be ironic and unironic at the same time, it's almost like they know they're supposed to be self aware about this but can't bring themselves to do it because they would actually need to confront it in their minds.

This is really something. "Hey, there is this thing people like to do now where they stream themselves doing stuff."

"Can we get money from it somehow?"

"Maybe, but it's not that hard to do it these days, so we will need to make those people think they get value from doing it for us and us skimming off the top."

    "Wait! I got it!"

    "You do?!"

    "Yes! Totinos room!"

    "Brilliant!"
