I don't understand the popsci bs around the observer effect. The exact mechanics behind it are unclear but chalking it up to spiritual/metaphysics stuff seems pretty absurd to me.

Either the guy who made the meme is somehow confusing the uncertainty principle with light diffraction or I'm the one confused.
You can observe diffraction patterns. That's how we know about them.
