sorry, why do we need trials? do it quick on the spot, have some fun , or genuinely try to save their "humanity", if you think they have any.

All for violence to defend the immediate security of the revolution, but after that we need trials so that the truth and reconcilliation process can begin.

We need to start building the Socialist cultural superstructure. I know that may sound like lib shit but in transitions between modes of production ideology can play a more dynamic role.

Society as a whole has to acknowledge the crimes of the past and the monsterous nature of capitalism, whether we ultimately choose to Puyi the Hautes or Central Park them.

i agree that violence long term has no place in the revolution, and even short term, as doctrine at least, I agree it should only be used defensively when the capitalists inevitably try to kill us.

but im also kind of a sick fuck with a love of revenge, even if I know it isn't particularly productive. and a human centipede of landlords sounds fun.

I always troll conservatives when they do the "Democrats are gommunists" and say "wtf do you think they're going to collectivize agriculture?" Fox News runs my joke as an actual news story.

Coming soon from Prager U: "The Americadomor, how leftists starved one hundred million Americans to death with Soviet-style collectivization."

I mean, yeah, they horded the farm equipment, but they don't have the license codes so it's basically useless.

      Oh god. This comment sucks.

"Congrats, you successfully seized the means of production. Now please log into this factory with your two-factor authentication."

for a bit of a bright spot: there's a booming hacking scene among farmers. its kind of a big deal :anarkitty:

Yeah I'm following somewhat, it's sick. Generally the right-to-repair movement is also something that needs to be supported.

im very against DRM. SO very against it.

I cannot fathom why anyone would spend money or DRMed media when they could pirate. my brain literally breaks to it.

I've done so in the past, and still do if you count videos game. Part of it is a desire for artists to be compensated for their work. I realize they probably see very little - if any - of that money... but... at least it signals they should still be given the means to create and distribute?

I'm also incredibly lazy. Been meaning to look into piracy... but, there's only so much free time and I have a lot of "Been Meaning To"s. Of course, DRM is still a fucking atrocious practice that flies in the face of computing's anarchist roots.

i very much wish for artists to be compensated for their work. and if I can pay them directly I will. I love doing this.

but I will never pay money for a DRMed product, and if I want it, I'll pirate it.

and it feels better to consume freely, like the internet is some sort of free space where we have freedom or something. that is worth so much, not staining every single fucking thing with capitalism.

yeah did we forget that tractors are DRMed to fuck and back nowadays?

we did, didn't we? who gets to tell the fascists?

I'm thinking especially of small anarchist factions, like farmers in Chiapas. If global DRM continues in the trend it has it could be a massive loss of autonomy for these communities.

i feel like that's the point.

luckily; most anarchists know at least one competent hacker. i just wish more were hardcore black hats who would break shit for the sake of breaking shit.
