This is a very good idea, but also it’s important that the posters themselves get no warning that this is going to occur, and hopefully no explanation, so just all of a sudden their posts are doing iron man numbers out of nowhere.
randomly distribute 'verifiied' badges among the userbase to confuse newcomers
Make it where other users can challenge a celebrity, and if they win, the celeb status gets transfered to the victor
ooooooh let's make it something mysterious that happens in the background, that nobody actually ever sees, and we're all forbidden for speaking on the particulars of. maybe it happens IRL, maybe it's a quirk of the algorithm or literally a dice roll. none of us shall be allowed to speak of it, on pain of banning and disavowment.
then you may be a celebrity for a month, lost if not defended in challenge (though not returned to its original owner)

dance off where you lose points for bad steps, you lose points for inelegant steps, airsoft guns are fired at your opponent when you bust a phat rhyme, and you must fight to first blood with whatever you just cooked.
