I too made it to a second round interview! We're going to succeed in having our labor exploited comrade, and I'm proud of us.

Seriously after months of job apps it'll be really nice to not be broke and feeling useless 24/7.

What QOL purchases do you have planned? I want a new mattress and to upgrade my entire computer space: desk, chair, pc itself. I want to feel comfortable in my space seeing as we'll prolly have to work from home off and on over the next few years. Been putting these things off for so long since I've been a broke-ass student, and now I've spent MONTHS as a broke ass unemployed grad. Fuckin love graduating into a world wide pandemic.

Dang love and solidarity comrade. I'd be homeless myself if I weren't lucky enough to have family to stay with, and I've come to recognize that privilege more and more. It's been a really fucking hard year, but obviously harder for some of us than others. I'm rooting for you big time.

    Hey y'all, I'm back :comfy:

This whole reddit fiasco has made me realize how much online communities suck. Like, y'all suck, but y'all suck one of the least. (In an affectionate way.)

I'm still waiting for the admins to affirm their support for veganism after last weekend. Until then I'm still on break from contributing to the site. As much as it is a moral thing it's also a personal thing; I was burning out hard and taking this break has been really great for my mental health.

If you're a vegan or an omni who wants more insight into last weekend, Aph Ko has some wonderful theory that I've been reading after I left. It specifically covers animal liberation irt Black and Indigenous culture and struggle and so I think it would be a good read for y'all if you want to make good on that "reading theory" promise.

Until then I'm going to chill out as a regular user. As much as y'all annoy me sometimes, a lot of you are great people and I missed you a lot. :stalin-heart:

Now that I'm a commie it is really starting to drive me nuts that like 97% of US Americans think exploiting workers in the global south is totally ok and normal. Like, yeah it's totally cool that Nike pays workers 56¢ an hour it's ok because they're used to being poor and that's the prevailing wage there anyway...

You add it all up and you realize how much of the "miracle" of alleged high living standards resulting from capitalism is just exploitation of things outside of the system - nature and workers in the global south. And animals (you can only get a $3 chicken by treating that chicken really terribly). Of course workers domestically are exploited it's just the math is a little more confusing because those workers also benefit from exploitation of the environment and the global poor.

Gonna be a fucking clown and V*ush post for a second. Forgive me

    spoiler

His recent comments where he unironically claims that pictures of the founding fathers aren't hung up everywhere in schools and kids aren't forced to pledge allegiance to Amerikkka every morning convinces me 100% that he's an op. I thought maybe he was just a uneducated jackass who gained a following for his "dunks" but he absolutely KNOWS he's lying to everyone's faces with those statements and getting some sort of kickback from some imperialists somewhere for doing so.

Context if you're unaware (I wish I was tbh)
