Democracy is when they give you no choice but to vote for one guy and then make you vote for him.

And when they do it's because they pulled a Juan Guiado - opposition party refuses to run because they wouldn't win, then America comes in to say that Maduros party running unopposed is undemocratic.

    "vote for Joe!"

"No. But at least wait until like next fall to tell me that. We could have a prim-"

    "No primaries. Vote Joe!"

    🤦

I'm old enough to remember when the media held a gun to my temple telling me I was a sexist if I voted for Obama over Hillary in the 2008 primaries. Actually if they want Joe to win they should run Hillary again. I will always go vote against her. Because I hate women, probably. Not anything she's said and done.

Legal challenge? It's the DNC! They explicitly get to make their own rules. Primary elections do not exist within the framework of the US Constitution. 30+ years of this country being governed solely via lawsuit has broken a lot of people's brains.

They probably know this, but filing a lawsuit (or just saying that they will) will get their names in the media, thus raising their profile. Can't speak for Phillips (might just be a careerist) but Williamson is a grifter.

By liberal logic, since they are not having a primary they are preventing people from voting for Joe

And since every non voter is 10 votes for Trump, Trump is the DNC candidate

More seriously, looking forward to one of Trump or Joe dying in office

I'm taking a new tack with the vote blue no matter who crowd:

"Biden is such a strong candidate that he wins primaries by default. He's even going to win the next election by default, hence why I'm encouraging people not to vote for him.

Show your faith in the democratic process and the strength of Joe Biden as a political candidate and refuse to vote today!"

If the democrats really care about voting so much then maybe they should lead by example? No, I'm not bitter.

They won't win the state with Biden anyways. Florida Democrats are so inept that they can't even win their own primaries. They have to hire former Republicans like Charlie Crist to do it for them. They will never learn.

They did something similar in 2020 when a few states bragged about getting the Green Party off the ballot.

My opinion has turned around to voting is so pointless it doesnt matter even if you do vote for him

If you understand the US is a fascist country and nothing is stopping that

Nah, surely the Lesser Evil^TM wouldn't eliminate dissenting opinions to prevent competition and consolidate power, he's the LESSER evil it's right there in the name

That kinda talk is functionally identical to writing in Trump for every electable office at once!

If Biden loses next year, which is looking more and more likely, the DNC are just going to get rid of primary elections altogether, at least for president.
