Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Meghan graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in History and minor in Creative Writing. When she isn’t working on her debut novel about one of the daughters of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia,

People really have issue with that huh. Even when I was a chud, the Russian royal family being killed never seemed terribly unjustified; sure, killing the kids is bad, but the country was dying due in no small part to the incredible ineptitude of their leaders. Why so many people have this weird infatuation with them while attempting to make them sound almost like martyrs, I'll never know

Because it's a highly effective way to demonize communists. "See, this is what happens as soon as commies have any power, they will up and murder families." It's not that royal family is being painted as martyrs for a cause, but as victims, examples of the inevitable results of communism gaining traction.

Let's not go down the road of arguing that its okay to kill someone because theyre 13.

I used to feel bad about it, then I think of all the children who got murdered in pogroms that Tsar Nicolas signed off on. He was a murderous motherfucker

Because they weren't ever rumored to be alive. There's a little bit of Alexei stuff, but most of it is centered around grand duke Michael if Alexei is part of the narrative.

This was bound to be The Take in a country where communism has been wholly discredited, when discussing media from a country where praising communism is illegal.

There’s a character who is the South Korean equivalent of a Wall Street broker who fucks over a brown man. A brown man who got really close to him. But these Chuds heard “everyone is equal” and missed the point that there’s really no equality because the stronger players will always fuck over the weaker ones. along the fact that some of the players have items they weren’t supposed to have.

Cheats Ali out of a victory by exploiting his trust and his willingness to try and help both of them live.

Also the only reason he is there is because he got cheated out of money that he earned.

"Capitalism isn’t perfect, but it gives people the agency and the opportunity to make something of themselves and to improve their economic situation for their own good and that of their family and their community."

She writes this after describing the plot of Squid Game in detail, especially this part:

"...the contestants get a choice to leave the Games. While many contestants choose to leave the Games, they go back home to realize they're still broke and feel meaningless...many end up returning to fight to the death for the money, showing democracy is only an illusion. The elites knew they would be back."

This is just pure, unbridled brainworms to write out this allegory that captures the spirit of capitalism so succinctly and still defend capitalism in the end. There's just no other explanation.

If you look closely at the show, you'll realize it's more about the elites versus us and how we're just toys for their entertainment.

I love that chuds can't even watch it sufficiently to realize that there is like a 5:1 ratio of guards to contestants. How the fuck would that work as communism do they understand anything ????

The Games are presented as a solution to the economic struggles of the contestants, similar to how communism is preached to those in financial distress. The harsh reality is that communism always ends in misery and bloodshed, and with an elite class exploiting everyone below them.
