It is nice that your parents are taking an interest in your beliefs and even encouraging you to watch something that will radicalize you further.

Seriously, OP just watch it with them and point out how hollow it is until they ask you to stop watching it with them.

I watched it for an hour on Tuesday, it was awful. Most of it was "Oh my lord, Joe Biden is the greatest man to ever live."

At some point Biden mentioned his intention to cure cancer, which seems like an achievable aim that a President could accomplish and would improve the lives of the American people and not just be an endless pit of money when we could do anything actionable, so I entirely approve.

Then Colin Powell said only Biden could guide America back to Reagan's shining city on the hill of whatever that evil ghoul had to say and I gave up.

    Utter waste of time.

Insulin isn't a cure. A cure doesn't require you to take the medication forever. It is extremely unlikely that it would be completely unaffordable, and if it would be, it would only be Americans suffering but the rest of the world would finally beat cancer. Leave it to CTH people to see a cancer cure as something bad and call it a waste of money, lol

I love how today's "episode" had an entire segment about how Joe is gonna have the government cure cancer and how he's always been a big supporter of cancer research, with no actual details about doing that. And it was just out of the blue. Like, the one campaign promise Biden is making is that he's going to cure cancer lmao. Not make sure everyone has healthcare or anything like that, just curing cancer.

So watch it and point out all the bullshit. They'll never ask again.

I'd actually love that opportunity with my parents. Though I know most of my ranting during would just be "They're not fucking saying ANYTHING! This is just empty rhetoric! Where are the specifics? This is all fluff and platitudes that doesn't help a single person." etc

Oh God! He's the absolute worst about that. I can't imagine taking anyone seriously after they made that claim.

"Hey honey heard you were into the communisms. Let's watch the DNC together then."

"Mom, dad you're embarrassing me in front of my comrades!!"

Tell them that when your time comes, you shall make no excuse for the terror.

Seriously tho, uh, make up an excuse, this way, you'll escape all the cringe, and you'll keep these 2 hours or so untainted by liberalism. And if they force you in the end, ask them which one of the war criminals is their favourite.

My dad was hyped to see all the candidates come together to praise how great and awesome uncle joe is. They really are killing it with their target demographics this year. Might not be enough to win tho

My spouse made me watch it. I just got drunk and shit posted here. At the end of it, I jumped up and started doing the whip and nay nay and yelling “I’m ridin with Biden”. Just so she would stop trying to get me to support Biden.

Why? Everyone's known for months that Biden would be the nominee and Harris would likely be VP, the convention is basically just empty, meaningless spectacle.

I put it in yesterday for five minutes and literally couldn't stop scoffing. Made me think of The Cure's Closedown

    And uselessly always the need

    to feel again

    The real belief

    of something more than mockery

If only I could fill my heart with love
