TFW I'm not applauded as an ally by the transpeople I'm actively misgendering.

They had the clown take that somehow JKR makes no money from the harry potter license so it fine to buy the game

Fascinating to read those lib takes. Everything that agrees with them comes from some Higher Authority and is beyond reproach or questioning, and anything that works as a counterargument to their views is just nonsense not worthy of discussion or consideration.

so focused on distancing the game from the creator's blatant transphobia they miss the dev's blatant antisemitic blood libel plotline of the main quest lmfaooooo

Oh no, they were quite insistent that it wasn't actually antisemitism because some Jewish blogger said it wasn't (as long as you ignore all the actual claims people are making and only focus on fringe stuff of course). They doubled down on both insisting it was neither transphobic or antisemitic through the time tested method of just ignoring everything everyone else says and insisting you are correct and morally pure no matter what.

Apparently the good transgenders love transphobia and antisemitism, maybe someone should go over to blahaj and poll the transfem community on their opinions on this matter,I have a feeling snowe may be surprised by the results thinking-about-it

also I would be honored by the you people bit being a tagline

Do they know a trans person in real life, have they ever talked to a trans person in the real world, face to face? Hell even anyone from the LGBT community.

You can type all the paragraphs you want, it doesn't mean anything when push comes to shove.

Also, someone who spends all day every day writing articles about how trans people should detransition to receive God's love or something could also, from their perspective, say they've "written thousands of paragraphs in support of trans people." Volume is nothing, content is everything, and the content of this person's screed veers awfully close to standard reactionary bullshit with that "you people just want to be offended!" chestnut.

If they're all comments from a sports subreddit like the screenshot shows, it's probably to do with defending the rights of a trans athlete to play the sport, at least I would guess so. So the content is likely fine. It's just that most online comments are hypotheticals and don't really track with how someone would deal with a similar situation in person, due to the way the internet works with anonymity and all.

I looked into their posts on Reddit and they did post stuff against the trans ban in sports there, but their understanding of the systemic nature of trans discrimination is... Lacking

People who do this type of shit definitely do not know any trans people in real life. Chronically online behavior is linking to Reddit threads for credibility.

"No you don't understand, the transpeople I've made up all agree with me and would celebrate me misgendering you. They all know I'm the one true ally. Every transperson disagreeing with me in this thread is a fake transperson and also mentally ill (which I find contemptible)."

Oh God it's Natalie Ryan discourse (disc course hehe)

I thought I left that behind.

Although I miss the disc golf subreddit I literally cannot force myself to use that dog shit mobile app.
