I've noticed more people being anti-capitalism then I did 10 years ago
American/Western hegemony is collapsing before our eyes and China is screaming forward to build an international coalition of equals that will bring hundreds of millions out of poverty and out from underneath the boot of capital, and they might just have a chance at tackling climate change and building a better world while those of us in the imperial core get our shit together.
Yeah China is pretty much a shitty human rights-violating oligarchy in the same vein as the US, but the fact they are the greatest potential force for good among the superpowers is both (a) sad and (b) undeniably true
None of my post implies that China is anywhere near as bad as the US, nor do I believe that.
You are right though, that this is a positivity thread and not for arguing about China/US moral relativism. I opened that door, I apologize
Something is brewing among the American proletariat. I don't think it will result in revolution, but I think our 1905 is around the corner. 1905 was a defeat, but it was a monumental breakthrough for class consciousness and a tremendous experience for the revolutionary vanguard. Whatever comes next for us will be a great cost, but the proletariat will rebound and when we strike in 10, 20, even 30 years it will deal the decisive blow to imperialism.
I see that some people are even calling themselves communists these days which would have been way more taboo in the past

Biden is so bad that he is making me believe that a complete upheaval of the US electoral system with a left party and charismatic leader is possible and not far off.
The countries that used to look to the USA for leadership are realizing that it's not a good idea and US bad.

Having made up my mind that I'm gonna move to China as soon as they open their borders again I genuinely do feel more hope for humanity than I did a year ago. Maybe it's just bc I pay more attention to China but im substantially less of a doomer than I was before
It prolly won't be for three years bc that's when my teethll be fixed but yeah, if I'm still active here and it's still around I will live tweet my whole life in Beijing to you guys lol
I'm gonna work there for as long as I can. So I won't be a permanent resident but if I can keep a job for 20 years I can stay there for 20 years. Also if you have kids with a citizen you can stay until they're 18
