One illegitimate anti-democratic institution protecting another. May they all burn in hell.

This is important because otherwise it would be legal to kill the Supreme Court :fidel-sarcastic:

Amazing how they always have time for this shit and fundraisers and golf, and never any time for actual legislating.

But yeah, communist countries are super corrupt and dysfunctional :side-eye-1:

The answer to this should be to protest the homes of all 100 senators until federal protections for abortion rights are passed.

Honestly, there's like 160 million fucking people who are pro-choice. We could do it in 10,000 person shifts.

Yep, you can't get an abortion because this 200 year old document never mentions anything about any abortions, sorry, them's the breaks.

What? Of course we have the power to make that decision for all of you! Maybe the power of judicial review isn't written anywhere in the constitution, but we decided we had that power a long time ago and everyone at the time agreed, so it's fine don't worry about. It's imperative we follow the judicial precedents as set by our predecessors.

By the way, did you know gay marriage isn't in the constitution? Looks like we gotta get rid of that too. Sorry, we know it's not what you wanted to hear but the rule of law is extremely important in ensuring that no draconian government has the power to take away our right to be filthy fucking rich parasites.

For those uninitiated in parliamentary procedure, if something is passed "per unanimous consent" it means there was no vote, but rather the chamber was asked if anyone opposed it and no one spoke up.

Which, yeah, tracks for the senate, gross. Even succdem grandpa won't object to this enforcement of civility I guess.

Unfortunately, this is very ideologically consistent with Bernie Panders.

It'd be funny if the ACLU challenged this and the supreme court decided that it's the most constitutional law ever conceived of, maybe it's even more constitutional that the constitution itself..

Not defending them, but I don't think any of the squad members are in the senate

Oh yeah, Bernie is. But "the squad" refers to a small group of 2018 house members that won in the wake of Bernie's campaign.

The funniest part is the fact that Bernie isn't even the oldest senator by a long shot. I think that goes to either Feinstein or Grassley. fuck, according to this listicle, Bernie is only the 5th oldest or something, and is apparently roughly the same age as Mitch McConnell. https://www.oldest.org/politics/members-of-us-senate/

Bernie's not even the oldest senator from Vermont.

New York's Senators are Schumer and Gillibrand.

Although, Gillibrand going along with this says everything you need to know about her "pro-choice" credentials.

Honestly I hope I live to see Nazi militias gut these democrat cowards. I just want to be alive to tell them I told you so.
