I don’t buy most of that Hunter Biden shit. Most of it seemed like a mudsling of the slimiest type.

                But…

What was he doing in Ukraine? Why did the son of the former VP have a seriously good job in Ukraine for which his primary qualification was clearly his last name?

Biden was still freelancing as a de facto diplomat and actor in Ukraine after Trump won. He was still active in terms of being an influencer and using his network. So how was it appropriate for Hunter Biden to have that job? Why wasn’t that the scandal instead of some hyperbolic and half baked sex scandal?

It was clear nepotism at best.

We didn’t have that conversation because of how crazy the laptop leak shit was and now it’s verboten to discuss this example of clear nepotism because if you bring it up everyone thinks you’re Qanoning about the sex stuff but actually there’s an exceptionally clear case for nepotistic corruption of the family of the president of the USA in a nation at war with Russia and at risk of dragging the USA into WW3. How the fuck is that not a story? Why didn’t we have this conversation? It’s absolutely mad.

I think it's less about Bidens personally involvement, and more about the people in the State department that has worked with biden for a long time. Blinken has been an advisor for Biden since at least the early days of the war on terror, and is somewhat credited with Biden being such a proponent of the war.

Yea but it's dumber than that. Yesterday he posted

In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party.

But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.

Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold … 🍿

and today A SpaceX flight attendant said Elon Musk exposed himself and propositioned her for sex, documents show. The company paid $250,000 for her silence. And the editor says they contacted him for a comment shortly before Elon's twitter post.

It's dumb, but that is 100% the democratic vibe. The republican vibe is tough (or mean) while the Dems vibe is nice (or weak).

Most of US "politics" is reducible to this dichotomy

Did you ever really think carefully about the masterful dialectical logic that weaved the denominations of “the don’t be a pussy party” and “the don’t be an asshole party”? It is not a banal question of pussies vs. assholes; it is non-pussies vs non-assholes; the negation conveys something more than the simple inversion. What constitutes a pussy is entirely determined by the non-pussies, and conversely for the assholes. It is also interesting that the opposition is not pussy vs. dick, but pussy vs. asshole; the categories defy binary gender logic. Would “dick” be as appropriate for describing this antagonism? I am not convinced it would. For one, the asshole is capable of farting, the quintessential troll gesture. A dick can be used for similar purposes, but drawing attention to this would be much more disturbing. Trolling is meant to be disturbing, but not that disturbing. A dick would denote a much more dedicated and convinced orientation to politics that I don’t think the non-pussies possess, they are exactly that: non-, knee-jerk opposition to the pussy. They don’t even embrace their assholeness, how could they embrace dickiness? Furthermore, it was not the assholes that coined the term non-asshole, it was the non-assholes, who, for their own safety’s sake, might want to downplay any direct genital associations. As events develop, it would be interesting to see further research on where the rising category of “bussy” fits into and/or disrupts this entrenched dialectic.

I think this really is it. He was so afraid of facing the dreaded "metoo, cancel culture" contingent because he's a fucking disgusting sexpest (on top of everything else repulsive about him) and this was a feeble way to try to deflect ahead of time. So now he can say "See! They're trying to get me canceled all because I said I said mean things about the dems and decided I'm switching teams!" It's too pathetic to not be true.

Musk really has been an amazing car crash to watch. I remember back when he first really appeared on the scene his entire propoganda publicity blitz really did hook a lot of people in. Few of my mates for instance fell for it, and watching them slowly realise he's basically a snake oil salesman and a shitty human being.

I think what he is basically doing has far less to do with his own interests as a billionaire and far more to do with being a narcassistic piece of shit who absolutely needs people to lick his boots and tounge his arsehole. Not that there isn't a tonne of overlap of course cos that sums up most billionaires.

He's gunning for the fascist and diet fascist fanbase in part I think cos he knows his absolute car crash of an existence is basically alienating anyone without near terminal brainworms. I mean there really is no good way to spin stuff like begging for a wank from a stewerdess like a creepy cokehead in a shitty bar. About all he has left is the fascisty/creepy incel contingent who will buy the whole 'victim of cancel culture/metoo' crap.

I really don't blame them for fooling for it. They're largely sciency types with not a fantastic understanding of politics etc (though they are slowly becoming a bit more radicalised) so yeah, the whole 'oh excellent here's someone who is actually going to do space exploration properly now Nasa's budget is nearly zero' appealed for sure.

i used to complain a lot that at least rich people of the past were honest. They'd wage open warfare against union organizers like in Kentucky or how Henry Ford had hired goons who'd kidnap his workers. I kept dreaming of the day everyone could stop pretending to respect these wealthy parasites when they finally became honest about their politics
