Makes sense, you'll definitely want to shoot your computer after reading that garbage.
I still have a dummy account strictly for when I have to look up some quasi reliable stuff about consumer products since the Internet doesn't really work for that stuff anymore.
Or like very specific hobby stuff. Other than that, it's 🗑️
I still look stuff up there once in a while but I have an auto redirect to libreddit/redlib so I never have to get spied on or advertised to by reddit directly. I used to have an account mainly for hobby stuff and r/acidmarxism but even the hobby stuff was full of insufferable redditors in the comments.
Yeah I log onto the app maybe once or twice every few months. I forget I have it still sometimes.
The last thing keeping me there was sports subreddits -- there was (and probably still is) some decent discussion and good bits.
For a number of reasons, that stuff really started losing the battle against talk radio level comments and low-effort memes. At some point they made it much harder to view the old site on mobile and I just said fuck it and deleted my account. Even if I could view the site easily, at some point being on a forum that thinks the sky is falling at the slightest hint of adversity wears pretty thin.
This is how I feel seeing PCs
Can't tell if those are PCs though, they kinda look like PowerPC Macs
Idk I'm not really a PowerPC person
I'd take any PowerPC Mac of the era over any contemporaneous PC
Then there was that dark time when Macs became PCs for a while
And I don't know enough about the ARM Macs to have an opinion other than they seem neat and good cuz they aren't PCs (can't afford lmao)
Edit: I saw your other post, just to be clear I also don't care for Apple I just respect them for doing something other than using the demonic technology that has frustrated the research into and deployment of better computer systems for decades
