Twist: Marx gets really into crypto, loses all of his money, and makes us use the same juche necromancy used to revive him to bring Engels back so he can borrow some money

      mostly likely scenario tbh

another: 21st Century Marx gets super into gacha games and spends all his money on waifus. His friend and lover Engels pulls him out of addiction. Marx realizes that he has been conned, and his gamer screed eventually turns into Capital volume II

I like to imagine that in this alternate history world, Marx switched places with :matt-jokerfied: and the reason he doesn't finish volume 3 of Capital is he gets sidetracked complaining how playwrights don't use real animal blood for their wound effects anymore and how the corn syrup isn't the same

I don't think he would want to be put to rest, knowing that his theories prevailed over anarchism and seeing how the left has developed would give him infinite content. He'd become the best poster, entirely funded through substack

Marx debating a libertarian would be extremely funny

However, the collapse of the soviet bloc would obviously be traumatic for him. He'd probably flee to cuba/china to avoid being assassinated by the US

America would literally nuke Cuba to ashes if Marx revived and fled there

We gotta convince him that painting of Kim Jong-un inspecting the giant Marx and Lenin robots is real. :kim-drip:

I honestly don't know how he would react to the rise and fall of the USSR.

Thrilled that we got so close and we did so much in such a short time span but also probably extremely disappointed that he was proven right in so many ways over the 20th century.

I think he would see it exactly the same way he saw the Paris Commune. An attempt that needs to get better.

I think that having a chance to see into the future would prompt him to continue theorizing and polemicizing and writing until his zombified corpse ran out of life essence.

the sad thing about burgerpunk.jpg is it's actually nice compared to some parts of the USA. it's missing the dystopian homeless encampments or the police with assault rifles.

Honestly, I think the thing would be that Jenny and Engles weren't with him. He really needs his homies to be happy.
