Stalin holodomor 10 million dead is a pretty common claim, but Lenin? Literally what do they think they're talking about?
They don't have the faintest clue who Lenin, Stalin, or Mao were and they kind of imagine all of them to be one guy who may as well be called Communism
Communism is when speed up black and white archive footage of troops running, Stalin waving and the narrator using words like "doctrine" and "fanatic". But sometimes it can be books with titles like "soul harvest" and "blood empire" with big letters on the cover.
If they’re genuinely talking about Lenin and not merging him with Stalin, a lot of libs and reactionaries blame the Russian Civil war on the Bolsheviks, not you know the the whites, pogroms, the western invasion/blockade, all the historic conditions and contradictions etc. Plus exaggerate the red terror.
If you press them they will literally blame the massacres committed by the White Army and allied Imperial states on Lenin and the Bolsheviks in a kind of "Look what you made me do" thing

Same as the tendency to blame both soviet and nazi dead solely on Stalin.
At least half of liberals would tell you Marx was the first leader of the Soviet Union or something, so I wouldn't take them seriously.
I actually saw a Zitter post once where someone claimed Marx killed millions.
They are the same libs who believe Marx was a Stalinist tankie: deeply unserious people who don't know what words mean.
Lenin was a communist. Communists believe in collectivism. Thus, Lenin (and every dirty commie) is equally responsible for the 900,000,000,000 dead people communism brought about.
I haven't seen them talk about Lenin much. I've seen libs say that he killed the Romanov children personally though 😂

Probably talking about the ‘Red Terror’, some of the more unhinged estimates of deaths are in the millions I think (although it was nowhere near that in reality)

They confuse Stalin with Lenin and other Soviet leaders. Just as they confuse Che Guevara with Fidel and Raul Castro, I doubt that most liberals know that Che was actually Argentinian.
