Coastal elite neo-Marxists refuse to represent the heartland in my bibeo game!

A map of 2500 km^2 of just irradiated prairies with wild irradiated corn and sunflower.

do nukes even drop there in the lore? if its destroyed why would China waste their nukes there? it would be really cool to have a game set in an area without nuclear fallout (maybe Oklahoma) but is being conquered by the NCR which has become increasingly fascist after spreading east and colonizing. and you can side with the locals for liberation from the NCR

the lore is like, uninterrupted nuclear expansion & armament until 2077, like every inch of the US/China/Russia are saturated with nukes. that's why its 100+ years before the first confederation of villages is created

like Europe wasn't terribly involved buts that's because they had their own nuclear war & collapse with the middle east iirc

oh damn. well in that case i want a fallout game set in the ruins of Prague or Guangzhou. ik "americana" is important for fallout's aesthetic but it would be cool

well going anywhere in the world you get slices of americana so it could probably be interesting to see it interfacing with other cultures many years on from the apocalypse. of course the only people who understand fallout in the slightest are the level designers at bethesda so we can safely say nothing of the sort will ever come about.

the first time i played dead money it was fucking terrifying, but i've done it recently with a character with 100 Unarmed and 100 Science and it was just a nice little jaunt. NV has the best fucking dlc

you can kill the mormons & find your own way out without the main quest. this is the canon ending :very-smart:

As far as the Dead Horses go they are canonically descended from actual natives, white americans, and germans (the latter two having been stuck at the former's reservation when the bombs fell). Can't speak for the other tribes, and the DLC is kinda dookie anyway so :shrug-outta-hecks:

Honestly it's worth playing through once IMO assuming you can get it to work. There's some cool lore and connections to the other DLCs sprinkled here and there, even if the DLC as a whole is lackluster

I hated it mechanically because the available weapons didn't line up with any of my skills or perks. It also takes away the best companion: the stealth suit from Old World Blues. The story and setting itself was cool, but the equipment stripping was too reminiscent of the FO3 DLC that either literally did that with a forced loss, or where you were best off leaving your equipment at home anyways because at high levels all the enemies did massive amounts of armor ignoring damage that would also quickly destroy your armor and the only ammo available was for the specific weapons they'd drop anyways.
