Not only is there not an option for making a guest account like on Windows 7, they also forbid you from creating a new local account by the first name "Guest" !! Calling it "Visitor" works but sounds kinda stupid imo. Why do I gotta go through hoops to let people use my laptop without worrying they'll see gay porn or personal journal entries??
Also, you're allowed to make a new user without a microsoft account, but it seems like they intentionally make it seem like you can't at first (it'll ask you for a microsoft account and have it seem like the only option, until you get more options after clicking "I don't have this person's sign in information")
All these updates really drive home that we cant even have personal property anyomore.
After the update I have a 25GB folder of Windows (old). What does that mean? is it redundant? Then why not delete it.
Windows old can be removed. It's a leftover from the upgrade process so it can roll back if the upgrade failed.
Windows doesn't do trash disposal well, so it remains; similarly, you should see how much old crap is left behind from updates that you've already installed and don't need local copies of anymore.
Kinda funny they prepare for a roll back, while, I dont think, providing the option to do so.

it's just disabled by default because it'd be a huge security flaw if enabled by default. you can enable it in Computer Management with whatever your admin account is. I have a admin account separate from the account i use all the time.
I mean fair, the guest accounts should've still required passwords on windows 7, but disabling having an option for it by default seems dumb
afaik know, a new install of windows 11 just has Guest disabled, you just have to right click and enable. i just checked my work laptop where i am an admin in IT and the Guest profile is in disabled computer management, i dont have to run a command to get it to enable or appear. unless youre on windows 11 home maybe? plus even if it wasnt there, making a new local account is nothing.

Yeah there's no option in computer management, didn't even know there's two different versions of windows 11 but I'm apparently on home
there's always been different versions of Windows, but Home and Pro are probably the two most common. Home doesnt let you join the computer to a work domain, but Pro does. But maybe it doesnt have Guest either which a little odd.

I think there’s an update for it now, but the clock doesn’t have seconds by default? Like, not even an option to turn them on. WtfPeople don't care. I helped my friend set up a new laptop with Windows 11 and went to make a local account. I saw there was a dark pattern trying to force the user to login with a microsoft account. I told my friend, "oh, this is a dark pattern, they're trying to get you to.." and his eyes glazed over and when I finished talking he said "right.. well let's do the microsoft account"
A few years ago, my gen x mom got a windows laptop and got annoyed they were forcing Edge on her, so I helped her and installed what she was familiar with (Chrome). One day, some guy with microsoft came over to fix her laptop and fully lectured her about the benefits of Edge, setting it back as her default browser, then offered to uninstall Chrome altogether. She agreed simply because he spent time convincing her how much better Edge is over Chrome
