Could you imagine it. An army of bro dozers, rascal scooters, and beautiful boaters.
If the military opposed him and Trump hired his own personal lynch mob army that'd unironically be one of the best outcomes you could hope for
Imagine the US military and white militias killing each other in the streets, fucking christmas on a silver platter
In reality though that'd never happen because the military wouldn't oppose him
Granny getting mowed down by an apache while Jeffery mall crawls an Abrams tank. Rolling coal
Oath keepers vs active duty soldiers with the full weight of the federal government.
Sounds nice but it’s really a horrible notion.
I think when push comes to shove though, Trump is the Commander in Chief™ and blind loyalty will lead to troops supporting him in that moment, especially if the election outcome appears close (whether or not it actually is). Especially if Democrats grow stones and actually try to force him out.
In the short term you're right. The military isn't going to act, not until after supreme court decision.
Even after that... It will be weeks/months of organisation and secret meetings for a military coup to actually occur on US soil... If they even decide to do it which is a big IF.
The near-term would be a defaulting to Trump being commander-in-chief and he'd be defended in his position as a result of supreme court backing.
there's gonna be a great moment when liberals realize that Trump will still be tweeting after he's out of office
The secret service stops signing for his grub hub orders then he gets bored and leaves eventually.
Fox news gives him a TV show so he is in effect still America's president
Trump's twitter account gets a disinformation warning because he puts "America's Real President" in his bio
It eventually is removed cause some DNC ghoul makes a point of procedual accuracy about it.
lets be real, even in their head, they're just gonna be the sidekick of harry potter a lib would never stand up for something without a pop culture icon holding their hand the whole way
There's actually a process for this. Fornally, the Senate would ask the Sergeant at arms to arrest the President and remove him from the building with I think the Capitol police, which is the Senate's primary force.
The issue is this group are a bunch of massive chuds who are incredibly pro Trump.
Once Joe takes the oath he has marines on hand who are legally bound to follow his orders.
He'd stick around for a few days right up until the point where the Senate is threatening to send the capitol police to pull him out, ensuring it would be a massive spectacle. He'd surrender, but claim to have been ousted by the liberal elitist deep state under unfair, fake election results. He then claims to be the true winner then goes on to have a successful media career where he constantly brings up how he's the real president.
It sounds like a pretty good deal overall for him.
Biden would have the marines remove him.
This is just asking what if Trump throws a tantrum in the Oval Office.
If you mean what if he does a coup, then it’s war.
If I've learned anything from the past four years, it's that our government basically works on the Honor System.
So to answer your question, I guess nothing.
File a lawsuit that takes 7 years and says trump was bad oh well too late at the end of it.
The Secret Service would carry him out. The American bourgeoisie and nat-sec state have no loyalty to Trump and see Biden as a more stable imperialist tool they can use. Besides they need to preserve the illusion of democracy which is more important than any one tool of theirs. If the Republicans cannot rig it in such a way that Trump wins clearly (ballots not being counted or incinerated aside) and they can't finagle up some sort of excuse for the Supreme Court to step in to help them they're done and he's out. Simple as that.
Legal battles and spectacle. The media will love it. People will probably riot in the same ways they have been this year. The cops and national guard will be deployed everywhere needed to bring "stability." It's all disorganized so it won't foment into anything proper, but a lot of fence-sitting libs and electoralists will be pushed left at the obviousness of corruption. After that, nothing much else will change though, doesn't matter which candidate.
