    Fidel - The Untold Story

Elementary is a good modern Sherlock Homes tv show

Person of Interest starts out kind of cheesy but gets increasingly good as the seasons go on, it's a tv crime-solving show that involves AI and machine learning

Bacurau is an awesome Brazilian film, super violent but very entertaining

Edit: Trapped is a compelling Icelanding murder mystery show, Zizek described it as "when I feel sad, I watch Trapped to remind myself of the true depths of human suffering" - two seasons

Chance is a (two seasons) tv show that shows the futility of Liberalism and its inexorable slide into fascism when faced with the grim realities of real life problems (not really but that's what I took from it, it stars the guy from House)

I like when they have a prison revolt. Also it's funny as fuck that basically all humans are dead except a handful and they still do a West Wing style lib moment where Democracy prevails

If you haven't already watched it

The Spook Who Sat by the Door (1973) is pretty relevant to our time right now

Over The Moon, light, up beat, comfort food territory, also it has maglevs in it, which are technically trains!
