    Bad take, Bob.

Actually, his next tweet makes it clear that he's saying these guys are far worse than cops:

The men who are on teams like this are people who have no flinch response to physical violence. They exist to break human bodies. Their job is to destroy people.

Folks are biting off more than they can chew here. That is my opinion.

A war correspondent seeing trouble brewing when unarmed protesters go up against trained killers? I don't see the issue here.

What? It'd be like Russian peasants protesting against the Tsarist government in front of the Oprichnina. Nothing can go wrong.

A lot of radlibs claim to be anarchists

It's almost certainly a controversial take but I genuinely think Matt's "anarchism is the highest stage of liberalism" thesis is accurate. I think it's why it so easily translates sideways into utopian right-libertarianism and anarcho-capitalism.

These ideas grew out of the Enlightenment; their roots are in Rousseau’s Discourse on Inequality, Humboldt’s Limits of State Action, Kant’s insistence, in his defense of the French Revolution, that freedom is the precondition for acquiring the maturity for freedom, not a gift to be granted when such maturity is achieved. With the development of industrial capitalism, a new and unanticipated system of injustice, it is libertarian socialism that has preserved and extended the radical humanist message of the Enlightenment and the classical liberal ideals that were perverted into an ideology to sustain the emerging social order. In fact, on the very same assumptions that led classical liberalism to oppose the intervention of the state in social life, capitalist social relations are also intolerable. This is clear, for example, from the classic work of Humboldt, The Limits of State Action, which anticipated and perhaps inspired Mill. This classic of liberal thought, completed in 1792, is in its essence profoundly, though prematurely, anticapitalist. Its ideas must be attenuated beyond recognition to be transmuted into an ideology of industrial capitalism...Libertarian socialism is properly to be regarded as the inheritor of the liberal ideals of the Enlightenment.

Not sure what this post is trying to say. He's saying that they're worse than cops, in that they actually know how to cause the most harm possible.

He's done journalism in war-zones. Of course he's worked with the feds.

I still don't understand what I am supposed to garner from this tweet. He's saying very openly that he's worked with feds before, and that these people are bad. You need to create a narrative otherwise you look like you're screaming at the sun.

You linked a "wikispooks" article and then edited it away. Which seems to be where you are getting a lot of your ideas from. If you think it's a valid source, then just link that instead of just posting some tweet from some writer.

I don't want to outright defend him, but I like him. I think he did good work reporting on the Portland protests, and Behind the Bastards was a step on my way towards radicalization. He also does good work investigating right wing movements, so I don't know... critical support?
