It's almost certainly a controversial take but I genuinely think Matt's "anarchism is the highest stage of liberalism" thesis is accurate. I think it's why it so easily translates sideways into utopian right-libertarianism and anarcho-capitalism.

I still don't understand what I am supposed to garner from this tweet. He's saying very openly that he's worked with feds before, and that these people are bad. You need to create a narrative otherwise you look like you're screaming at the sun.

I don't want to outright defend him, but I like him. I think he did good work reporting on the Portland protests, and Behind the Bastards was a step on my way towards radicalization. He also does good work investigating right wing movements, so I don't know... critical support?
Robert Evans has done more in the past year covering Portland, as well as exposing far right terrorist plots, than anyone on this site just sitting on their ass posting. Critical support indeed. He's actually doing something useful and putting his ass on the line while doing it.
