Singlehandedly most pro-Nazi region of Sweden both then and now. When you're thinking of Swedish nazi collaboration, you're thinking of Scania.

Take off that moomin profile pic mr. "New Viking"

I also just get insane whiplash seeing these guys think Russia is the soy gay antifa country when a couple of years ago people like this were praising Russia for being the last bastion of white Christian Europe and Putin for standing up against the "globohomo menace" or whatever

The war happened and they realized how many Nazis there were in Ukraine, so they got the perfect chance to do "muh whites against the Asiatic hordes" WWII rematch shit.

I think there's some sort of divide between specific kinds of rightoids and which side of the war they fall on

yeah, there is the neoliberal right wing, that stick with nato and amerikkka and there is the nazbols/duginists they share with us the anti-hegemonic view, but for everything else they are just as reactionary as the other right wingers and they uncritically support putin, like pepe escobar.

this sucks, sometimes i want to get news from the war and global south news, gotta swim in nazbol sewage. and sometimes nazbol social media profiles are shared here :(

    1. what's wrong for a place to be multicultural?
    2. you're no progressive if you're against anti-fa[scism]
    3. is malmö actually that bad? back when i used to browse reddit (i don't anymore thank god) i saw so many posts claiming malmö to become more crime-infested and unsafe after they let in syrian migrants, to the point where native malmöans can't go out at night or need to keep their doors and windows shut.

It helps to think of Scania as the Quebeck of the North. A thoroughly right-wing, racist and fascist region that remains untouchable because they can use the excesses of Stockholm as a shield. We were the main collaborators during WW2 and Swedens prime minster was Scanian? Fuck you, you had a eugenics lab! Our police are keeping a list of names of known Romani vagrants and socialists? Fuck you, you sell weapons! We are complete racist fascists and 99% of all Sweden Democrat voters come from here? Fuck you, you commited genocide against us! It doesn't matter if Malmö is bad or not. If it wasn't, they would only claim that it's because the socialist Swedish state has brainwashed everybody into complicity or something.

You know how every couple of years the fash has to make up new names and symbols to maintain credible deniability? This is probably one of such names.

Ok from what I get they are conservatives which support a welfare state? Since People Like teddy and Bismarck were still reactionary social conservatives. We had something like this in britain under the tory party in the 1920/1930s. Might as well drop the 'progressive' label since they're still staunchly racists.

It's an interesting symptom actually, those people like Bismarck originally adopted the "progressive" label because they wanted to have some social safety nets (with obligatory remember that such nets were understood by them as the safety for the ruling class from revolution first and foremost), and now, after neoliberalism dismantled so much of the working class achievements, this label is back because the need for such safeties is indeed seen among some conservatives again.

In Canada, our conservative party calls themselves the Progressive Conservatives (PC). They're both racist and constantly working to dismantle what little social safety nets we have left. I have no idea what's so progressive about them.

it's a finnish comic and book series. They made a movie a few years back that was good.

It's hard to describe the exact vibe of the series. It's a bit like if hobbits made comicbooks. Anyway linking it with nazi stuff is like remaking the christmass carol so everyone agrees tiny tim should be dead or having kermit join the SS it's profane

I wonder if he knows that the woman (Tove Jansson) who made the character in this ridiculous idiot's avatar (Snusmumriken) was in an "intimate relationship" with another woman? Do you think he'd be upset if he knew that?

There's a kind of chud who loves to weaponise LGBT rights against targeted minorities or geopolitical rivals while at the same time being disinterested or directly hostile to LGBT rights in his own country

Stalin was in no position to go beyond Berlin. US launched the nukes and threatened USSR and more over Stalin gave up on Greece to be a commie country because he promised Churchill that Greece would be under the protection of UK.

It's more accurate to say that the great patriotic war was a war in defense of the Motherland. Not an offensive war. The Soviet people gave everything for victory as victory meant their lives were saved from fascist genocide.

When victory was won, it was time to go home. Stalin gave the order to demobilize construction workers, teachers, doctors, and other groups necessary to begin healing and rebuilding the ruins caused by the fascists. There was no stomach for more war as the worker understood intimately its horrors.
