Bruh I spend years of my childhood and teenage years dealing with my mother as she tried to recover from my parents splitting up. There was literally no space for me to process my own shit. It fucking sucks

My dog's probably not gonna make it to the end of this week so not great. I ended up crying several times at work today

I feel you. As a dog owner, I'm dreading that day more than anything in the world. Take care! :heart-sickle:

I lost a pet a couple months ago and I know how hard it is. It's okay to cry, it's a natural response. Cherish every moment you have together, and let her go knowing how much you love her. Gosh I'm tearing up writing this.

I quit going to therapy a little while ago, probably shouldn't have. My general care physician today said my pulse is way too fast. It's probably a combination of anxiety and way too much sodium in my horrible diet.

I should probably immediately see a psychiatrist for anxiety. I hate myself more than ever. I can't muster the motivation to pick up the phone and call my insurance provider. My brain always invents the worse case scenario for all possible situations I'm in. I'm living in a near constant state of paranoia and self-loathing.

I don't have any close friends and don't feel comfortable around other people. Don't have a romantic partner and I'm trying to make peace with the fact that I probably never will.

Yeah, bad times. Trying to get better.

That sounds very rough comrade. Can you do some self-care? What helps you relax? There's a free app called Insight Timer which has some great guided meditations for anxiety. You don't have to meditate or anything, you can just listen them to relax. I listen to them sometimes and it helps me relax.

I've talked about it before on this site but I like making music. It helps me feel in control. I also like my cats. They're sweet to me.

Being around you people helps me as well, despite everything. You're all the first online community I've ever felt at home with and I've cried a few times at how pleasant it is.

I'll look into a relaxation app or at least scheduling some kind of general relaxation time. I hope you're doing well also

We don't hate you comrade! I've heard that benzo withdrawal is horrible, take it easy on yourself. Hope you have a good week. :heart-sickle:

      Hey, you’re me.

Don’t be hard on yourself, I’m feeling the exact same pain of failure at completing the most simple of tasks. Do the best you can, and start again tomorrow if you have the energy.

Teetering today between having a psychotic episode and outright bursting into tears at work whilst "Quand fera-t-il jour, camarade" and "Drapeau Rouge" play on loop constantly in my head whilst I contemplate cutting a finger off on work machinery so I can go home early. Thinking that if I tell a therapist that I have serious ideations of self-harm that I have to explain to them, in excruciating detail, what those may be and that if they involve a crime they are required to snitch up the chain, thus dissuading me from discussing my issues in total honesty.

Apart from that it's been normal tho.

I will let Teddy know he's got well-wishers, I'm sure he'll be glad to hear it and then steal my socks again

Teddy is a good boy. If he steals your socks, it's probably because he needs them more than you do.

It's okay to get irrationally angry at breakfast not coming together. It's probably a symptom of simmering anxiety elsewhere. I completely understand punishing yourself for getting angry over something "small," but if you give yourself a little time to think about it, you might find what's really bothering you. Also leaving the situation and coming back when you calm down is excellent! You did good today.

My life is still on pause so I'm not doing good and probably won't be for the next month or so. Most days I switch between feeling bad, frustrated, angry or sad. Sometimes I feel ok and calm but there's always a bad feeling in the background. On the positive side, I'm still meditating and going for walks almost every day. I exercised on Friday and I want to continue exercising regularly. I still have hope that things can improve starting from next year. The struggle continues.

I hope you're able to get into a regular exercise routine. I wouldn't say it helps me so much as if I don't do some physical activity several days a week, I go to a very very dark place. It's just about finding some way to get activity in that you actually enjoy - that doesn't feel like "work," or else it won't be sustainable imo, especially when everything seems harder than it should be and routine daily tasks seem insurmountable. So don't be discouraged if what you're doing isn't working, and don't be afraid to pivot and try something else. Team sports and things like that are great but maybe not an option these days unfortunately.

Thanks comrade! I agree, the key is to find something enjoyable. Luckily I'm an introvert so I don't mind exercising alone.

I’m starting to feel cut off from the divine.

My local Temple has obviously closed because of COVID, and now I’m missing sex magick and ritual. I also miss the serpents and the books. This sucks.
