So he got outperformed by a mod of the Mayo Pete subreddit, someone running on the Congress Sucks ticket, and a dead man.

Yikes, if he spent it all that's $300 per vote. For the record, Bloomberg spent about $450 per vote in the presidential primary...

I'd for sure support an EWP if it was developed by working class organizations and was not the individual effort of a grifter trying to salvage a grift.

I don't get why tf Josh went after a US congress seat and not state house or senate. State seats are actually attainable for for regular people without campaign experience if you're willing to invest your own time in it. I've met more than one state rep and was shocked by how "average" they are. If you just get some yards signs, a website, and go out and meet people you have a pretty good shot, even as a leftist.

US rep seats are orders of magnitude harder to get to, and the DNC defends those much more ruthlessly.

Imagine getting such a big amount of money, quite a popularity and fucking it up so badly with creating your own party and promotion on tiktok?

LARPer that posted on r/cth a lot. Raised tons of money promising he would run as a Democrat and then randomly ran as an obscure third party at the last second, presumably because he didn't actually want to be in congress

wasn't there some weird meltdown/scandal that precipitated him running as a third party? feels like 1000 years ago

I think he randomly deleted all his social media accounts, then remade them when he filed as EWP. Shady stuff

That was mostly a joke about him failing so miserably, but honestly even though I recognized his name I couldn't remember why. So thanks for the quick bio.

Wild that he wasn't even the top vote-getting third party candidate.
