    Notable political figures

Literally the only notable thing about this guy is that he died and it’s hilarious

HueyLongAdmirer sounds like a name you'd see around here, so I'm suspicious that this is a troll

I mean, he was an enigmatic populist. I think the HoI4 mod has rehabilitated his image among the Very Online left, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's still a population of far-right southern populists who read into his populism whatever they want to see.

Yeah but it's the name formulation too. Like "AllahLiker", "NormsUpholder", etc. Lefty shitpost names often use that formula, idk.

How far detached from reality can one get before it reasserts itself one way or the other?

For instance, say the next thing they believe is that all middle managers are communists: they aren't the godlike job creators at the top, they aren't the rugged individual pulling himself up by his bootstraps at the bottom, they're just lazy parasites who give you tasks and keep you from making more money. You know, "communists." So they shit talk their boss one day, get canned, and it's a all one big commie conspiracy. And of course they can't just go work for another commie; they have to put their life savings in a new business, or do a super selective search for alternate employment. At some point their life starts to unravel from the financial consequences of all this -- does that snap them back? Does that break the spell? Or is this a self-sealing wormhole they've been sucked into?
