Here is a short taxonomy of Hornyposting I wrote instead of doing work. Let me know what you think or if you have any improvements.
Porn hornyposting - Just posting porn: videos, pictures of any kind, erotica, etc. Simple, honest, pure, almost comforting.
Comment hornyposting - Posting comments on Porn posting. Low quality explainable through self-selection and the brain not working properly when horny. Subcategories:
- Horny comment hornyposting - Commenting about horny stuff.
- Humor comment hornyposting - Sorry attempts at jokes in the comments, that despite containing no textual horniness, are still somehow just as horny as Horny comment posts.
- Weird comment hornyposting - Comments about something unrelated to the horny content of the Porn post that, e.g. comments about objects in the background. Somehow even hornier than the other subcategories.
Ironic hornyposting - Posts with an appearance of Porn posting, but no attempt at actually titillate anyone. e.g. Garfield scat.
Sneaky hornyposting - Hornyposting trying to mimic as non-Hornyposting. Mostly fails to do so. This includes most of reddit.
Intrusive hornyposting - Like Comment posting, but on something that is not a Hornypost. Generally frowned upon. Often overlaps with other categories. Subcategories:
- Honest intrusive hornyposting - Just being openly horny in someone's comments. Not great, but at least they don't try to hide it.
- Patterned intrusive hornyposting - Comments that are not by themselves openly horny, but are clearly revealed as horny by their pattern and context, e.g. reply guys.
Enigmatic hornyposting - Posts that are not textually or contextually horny, but still emit an aura of horniness. The cryptics of Hornyposting.
Reverse-Enigmatic hornyposting - Posts that are textually overtly horny, but somehow have absolutely no feeling of actual horniness. Often exhibited in liberals thirsting after a Buttigieg/Beto type. Very creepy, like a creature trying to mimic a child in danger to lure you in. Run.
Meta hornyposting - Hornyposting about Hornyposting. Important: this does not include this taxonomy, whose purpose is purely scientific.
Depending on the context, it could be a type of Comment hornyposting or Intrusive hornyposting. It's also often used as Meta hornyposting.
This is a hornypost and you know it. You're trying to turn me on with all these detailed descriptions of internet posts. Don't think you're sneaky!
