I know wearing masks can be annoying, but I actually think they have some cool upsides (beyond slowing the spread of a deadly disease).
For one, customers at work can no longer see my resting asshole face. You can even get away with bad mouthing people to your coworkers more blatantly because people can’t lipread :sicko-yes:.
Also, my eyes are pretty nice so that’s a bonus. And it’s nice to protect your identity a little when at protests (although they’ve simmered down in my area atm). Any of y’all found some unexpected mask wearing perks?
They are a nice way to warm my face in the cold that doesn't make me look like I'm gonna rob a bank.
They make everyone's eyes look great. Damn people have really pretty eyes. Also I dunno if it's the "quarantine haircut" or lack of it but it makes me focus on people's hair/head shape more and everyone has really good looking hair or heads if you have a buzzcut or are bald. Also when I'm wearing a mask people can't tell If I have trimmed my beard or not so I don't need to trim it everytime I go outside
It's another way to style and accessorize. Lots of cute masks with patterns.
Man, sometimes I feel like they make mine worse, like pollen gets trapped beneath the mask and just fucks with me :angery:
F, I have problems with dust so maybe it's different. I also have some KN95 masks and they're better in every way
If you do foundation, you only have to use it on half your face, saving product/time/money.
They alleviate gender dysphoria. I don't have to deal with smelling all the smog from my job. They bring focus to my pretty eyes. People gender me as female sometimes which is unexpected but kinda nice. It's a fun way to accessorize. I get to frown at everyone and nobody notices.
I'm going to keep wearing a mask at work after the pandemic. I love not having to deal with the smell of jet engine smog.
