got my whole family into baseball back in the day, we went to mlb games together and listened to games on am radio on long drives and everything.
Baseball is awful, beaten only by American football. It's boring as hell, lasts 8 hours, there are a bajillion games per season, the same teams always win and most players just kind of stand around. Even worse, they invented softball for the ladies, which is slower and more boring because the ball is bigger and apparently feeble lady arms can only manage to pitch underhanded.

Oh yeah, and there's beginning to be more womens baseball leagues around the world, which is Cool and Good because yeah, softball is fuckin lame
I can think of at least 2 baseball games that were particularly fun to watch.

It always puzzle me why do Cubans are into baseball that much. Why can't they just like football like the rest of the Americans.

Not really true though. 7 different teams have won the last 7 titles, and while the Dodgers and Yankees are always good everyone else cycles up and down.
I don't wanna give out too much info about my private life, but I've had the occasion to watch a lot of college ball and I just can't do it. On the plus side, snack bars are pretty good and I got a lot of reading done at the games.
The only reason I have any respect for baseball is because it's popular in Cuba.
It's best viewed as an afternoon or evening of casual entertainment, rather than a wall-to-wall engaging experience. Going to a ballpark on a nice summer day with some cool people can be fun as hell. Keeping one eye on the broadcast of the game while you're working or doing shit around the house can also be great. Plenty of goofy shit happens, too, because players have so much time to just chill. To each their own, though.
