honestly i think we can get way too sensitive about other instances not liking us. if they're libs and they're mad for lib reasons, then personally that's just funny to me.
it is not a bad thing, but a good thing to be attacked by the enemythe occasional but incessant meta-posting on here about other social media sites is reason enough to block it.
I think it just lists us there because some instances block hexbear? Like, isn't the point of Fediseer that there isn't one one-size-fits-all blocklist but you can sort of aggregate your blocklist based on which other instances you trust (and populate your blocklist with their blocklist and vice versa)

db0 is the admin of lemmy.dbzer0.com, which Hexbear federates with. Presumably rikudou, a meanwhileongrad poster, was the one who added hexbear to the censured Fediseer list, maybe we can be removed from the list
It's only one instance from the default reference that has you censured currently (lemmy.world). To tell the truth I do want that the "default" censure list can be controlled a bit better, by using min_censures, so that it's a bit more "consensual". We're working on this
The default censure list is simply the servers the "default" 3 servers have censures. It doesn't mean these instances are all the same. It's just means one or more of those 3 has dislikes that specific instance. The point of reference (i.e. those 3 servers) can be changed on the top. E.g. if you remove lemmy.world as a point of reference, hexbear won't appear in the censure list anymore.
The onus is on the user/instance admin, to select which instances should be used as the point of reference so see who should be censured.
You realize that the domain of the instance is not necessarily the whole picture, yes?

A censure is a completely subjective negative judgement from one instance to another. Effectively signifying that instance A "disapproves" of instance B. The reason for this can be anything.
An instance can censure any number of instances and be censured by any number of instances
So not an exhaustive list of instances that blocked it.

There's a similar vibe to "free" but if that community doesn't have it, great, but I still suspect "free" also means really sus content is also freely available under pretenses of ideologically pure freeness.
The "default" censure list is relative to 3 lemmy instances, you can clearly see this on the top which you conveniently hid to promote this narrative. Change the reference point and hexbear won't be in it. The choice of what reference point to use it up to each admin.

It's FOSS. We are constantly improving and fixing bugs. Making a bug reports or even just trying to understand how it works, would be massively better than making such a ragebait post.

Is this a bug? It's the only instance that's been guaranteed that appears regardless of whether that filter is enabled.
