They keep referring to grown-ass women as girls

"Teehee, I'm a girl that likes pink and giggles, let's get you giggling!" :cringe:

This involves a 3D selfie that performs a quick study of the person's bone structure to determine the female gender

They are unironically doing my gender phrenology bit. Gods why is it so hard to parody terfs.

It also doesnt work because the bell curve of gender variance in humanoid skull shape has extreme overlap. There isnt much a computer can go on for its analysis, which is why archeologists generally dont use skeletons to determine gender of recovered individuals they use grave goods; which is also ironically how they are finding ancient trans people as they are dna sequencing dna from skeletons and finding XX and XY individuals with grave goods for "the wrong gender."

Yup, I've seen several reports on twitter of cis women having their verification fail and at least two reports of trans women here having theirs succeed.

I bet these morons imagine as their database grow their model will eventually get it right but it won't.

Is there any source on that? Seems like an interesting read.

I KNOW. I thought the "phonology app" was a bit that we were doing until:...bone structure. It sure is terf to come up with original material these days.

Just for the record, archaeologists know the difference between biological sex and gender, and acknowledge it is not possible to determine gender from the skeleton alone. THAT is the science. You don't get to pick and choose what the science is.

Yes. Calling a group of women "a giggle of girls" is gag-inducing. It's infantilising and too close to a gaggle of geese lmao.

I thought that was weird and creepy as fuck too. Like a female grooming pedo cult or something what the fuck.

We all love to be infantilized in our lives and definitely do not hate it.

What do you think of "lady"? "Woman" sometimes feels like it has an older connotation than someone in their 20s would like, but obviously "girl" is not appropriate.

If I'm talking about a 25-year-old male friend, saying "this man I know" sounds like I'm referring to someone's dad, and calling a 25-year-old female friend "this woman I know" feels similarly awkward.

i honestly just default to "person", "friend", or "someone I know"

          Let's go with "M'Lady" instead

Yeah fucking weird, based on the phrasing of "the female gender", I propose we now refer to mummies as: humans of a dessicated nature

Wait, didn't I see one of them in a tweet say that they are screening the applicants' photos manually?
Wouldn't that imply that this whole techno AI babble is just made up nonsense too?

Tons of tech companies have humans doing the work they claim their ai does while they raise money and overwork dev teams to try and build the tech they promise.

Of course they are, because their automated stuff doesn't work. I bet you they pitched to their VCs it'll definitely work eventually as the human feedback increases its knowledge base but it won't.

The interview I read with the founder made it clear that they meant trans women. So I was surprised when she went all in on the terf stuff
