I never stop to be baffled by the crudeness of necromantic procedures in America. They're literally still going for "just straighten the wrinkles out with a counterweight dangling from the back" when they run into the excessive skin growth problem, and they pretend it's the best thing ever, going all "see, you can even put runes on the counterweight and enchant it, and use it for a secondary melee attack." They turn the dark arts into disgusting butchery.

Fucking second this, Capitalism has been an unmitigated disaster for the dark arts, I used to know a smith down the road who'd make a mean but reasonably priced enchanted dagger; there's a walmart where his place used to be now. They built a massive stable around that god-forsaken place that cut right into the endless forest, I had displaced goliath spiders occupying my workshop for 3 months until I rehoused them.

I wish /r/fifthworldpolitics had gotten off the ground. When I made it there wasn't a good left-comedy side to reddit that I could recruit from. Surrealism isn't ideologically exclusive like absurdism so 2015~ was ripe for it to be colonised by neoliberals with SNL sensibilities and fascists with r/politicalcompassmemes sensibilities. Surrealist imagery on reddit was an absolute cancer, nearly destroyed /r/fifthworldproblems until we banned it outright, and every other subreddit which relied on it became a cesspool. For r/fifthworldpolitics to be successful we'd have needed to counter that entire trend and have people who could properly satirise politics.
